B&B's in Kingsbridge
In Devon’s South Hams at the Northern end of the Kingsbridge Estuary lies the seaside town of Kingsbridge. It owes its name to a bridge built in around the tenth century which linked the nearby royal estates of Alvington and Chillington. The right to hold a market there was granted to the Abbot of Buckfast a century or so later and in 1238 the settlement became a borough.
The town has a further tenuous royal connection having once been considered by the Prince Regent as the site for building his pavilion. It lost out however to Brighton. Find Kingsbridge Bed and Breakfast and Devon Bed and Breakfast and enjoy your holiday on this delightful coast.
The George Inn, Blackawton is well known in the area as a very pleasant, traditional village local with a warm welcome and is popular with locals and visitors alike.
