Lovely cosy cottage, we loved getting the log fire going of an evening (it had central heating too, but we just liked watching the flames). Nice and easy to find and close to Axminster for food shopping, but still in a rural setting. Lots of equipment in the kitchen and impressed by the powerful shower!

We had a peaceful and relaxing stay at Bloomsbury Barn, which is exactly what we hoped for after a difficult few months with work and ill health. The space is so well designed, with every home comfort one could need. We particularly appreciated the logs, kindling and firelighter for our first night, and the cream tea on arrival was a lovely and welRead morecoming touch. Handy for Charmouth, Lyme Regis, and further afield, but also so very quiet and peaceful. We hope to return. Thank you. Hide

Bloomsbury Barn had all we needed for a convenient stay in a quiet spot. A lovely little garden and play area for both adults and little ones to enjoy. 25 minute walk into Axminster where there are a few nice restaurants (recommend Belluno and Community Waffle House). An hour's drive to attractions near Exmouth. Visited Pecorama, Pennywell Farm, WoRead morerld of Country Living, Exmouth Beach and local Lyme Bay Winery and Cider Farm. Enjoyed lovely cream tea on arrival. Would recommend to families. Hide

we liked the barn , it had almost everything we needed to be self-supporting for 2 weeks. Only 2 bath-towels and no change of bedlinnen, however, needs improving: we had to wash and dry the towels ourselves, washing and drying the bedlinnen ourselves would have been a bit too much.....
