The property is in an ideal location for the annual Ten Tors event starting point and is also only half a mile from the Okehampton Show ground, which is home to Dartmoor's largest agricultural show in August. Okehampton Castle, the town’s indoor leisure complex and Okehampton Golf Club are all worth a visit. Fishing enthusiasts and walkers will both enjoy the reservoirs at nearby Meldon and Roadford, while cyclists can ride the Granite Cycle Way, which can be accessed within a mile of the property. Horse-riding can be arranged through the nearby stables. Other local attractions include Lydford Gorge, Morwellham Quay, Castle Drogo, Buckland Abbey and Crealy Adventure Park.
Inside the house, the main lounge features a Smart TV and DVD player and a cosy wood burner to snuggle up beside. A second lounge has a TV, DVD player, piano, games and a wood burner-effect electric fire. The spacious dining room features a huge dining table to seat up to 13 people, and a wood burner in a large inglenook fireplace with a feature bread oven. The light and airy kitchen is equipped with a double electric oven, induction hob, microwave, fridge and dishwasher. The utility area has a freezer, washing machine and tumble dryer as well as space to leave dirty boots and wet clothing. There is also a ground floor shower room with WC. The first floor is accessed by two staircases, each located at either end of the house. There are two spacious en-suite king-size bedrooms with TV, 3 twin bedrooms and 1 triple bedroom with a double and single bed. Completing the first floor is the bathroom with a bath with shower over and WC.
At the front and side of the property are spacious lawn gardens for playing football, cricket and other games. There is outdoor dining, perfect for al fresco meals and drinks while soaking up views towards Dartmoor. Guests have use of a games barn featuring a pool table and table tennis, plus storage for bikes. There is also a small shallow stream running at the end of the garden.
