Nestled within 23 acres of tranquil and private grounds, this spacious and light-filled lodge provides the perfect setting to unwind with a beautiful lake at your doorstep. Located in the village of Kentisbeare, you'll find a pub and a fully stocked village shop within half a mile. A short drive to Broadhembury, voted the prettiest village in Devon, reveals a charming 16th-century pub, a local tea room, and wonderful walks for your four-legged friend. A 15-mile drive to Exeter opens up opportunities to visit the breathtaking cathedral and indulge in the diverse array of shops, restaurants, and amenities. Outdoor enthusiasts will find plenty of attractions nearby, including Exmoor and Dartmoor National Parks, both within 30 miles.
Step inside the lodge from the sheltered deck area and you’re welcomed into the open-plan lounge/dining and kitchen area. To your right, you can unwind on the cosy sofa adjacent to the warming wood burner and Smart TV. The kitchen offers a great space to cook up some local produce and comes fully equipped with everything you’ll need for your stay. A dining space completes the living area and provides a great spot to enjoy mealtimes with glimpses of the lake in the background through the French doors. You’ll find two bedrooms at each end of the lodge, the first is a king-size bedroom with a Smart TV and French doors to the outer deck, with an en-suite shower room and WC. The second is a twin zip-and-link room which can be made into a super-king-size on request, and sits to the left of the entrance with plenty of space, a Smart TV and an en-suite shower room with WC.
Outside, you’ll find a sheltered decked area with a bubbling hot tub, and beautiful views of the lake and countryside. Designated jetty areas are situated around the lake for fishing.
