A charming cottage, set in the heart of picturesque Appledore, with a sunny courtyard and within strolling distance of pubs and quay.

Set in one of the oldest parts of the historic village of Appledore, this cottage is near the sea and located on the same street as lively pubs that serve highly reputed seafood, and less than 500 yards from the picturesque quay with a walkway and stunning views up and down the estuary and across the water to Instow. You can look forward also to sipping sundowners in the enclosed walled patio or summerhouse with a good book and your loved one: ultimate relaxation.

This cottage is a light and bright, romantic setting all year round, as you can enjoy cosy winter evenings beside the coal effect gas fire or sunny summer lunches on the patio. The decor is fresh and airy with white-washed walls and a beautiful stone feature fireplace. There is a well-equipped kitchen if you choose to cook for yourself, or local pubs offering fabulous cuisine and friendly hospitality as little as 100 yards away.

Northam Burrows Country Park (2 miles) is close enough to reach on foot and a pleasure to walk: perfect if you’ve brought along your four-legged friend. Westward Ho! with its long sandy beach, Atlantic surf and seafront with lively amusements is only 3 miles away. Golfers might like to play a round at The Royal North Devon Golf Club (2 miles), a historic course that stretches out across the burrows. The ancient town of Bideford (4 miles) offers parks, galleries, shops and restaurants, as well as access to ferry rides over to the spectacular Lundy Island, where you might see puffins, seals and other wildlife.

Dogs fees are charged per dog at £20.00 for up to 7 nights, £40.00 for up to 14 nights and an additional £20.00 for every week or part week thereafter.

A beautiful homely little cottage. The outside space was wonderful. The bed and all other furniture was comfortable. Would strongly recommend this cottage and Appledore. A lovely week away.

Appledore is a lovely seaside village, parking on the harbour car park is cheap, 4 per 24 hours and 16 for 7 days. Across the estuary, 10 minutes by car the beach is lovely and the views across to Appledore are stunning. The cottage was in a great location and it was very clean. The shower was great and the cooker and job worked well. Loved the summer house/ utility room. Only problem was internet access and WiFi. However, this is the area an not a fault at the cottage itself. Lovely pub witching one minute walk with great food. This was our second visit to the cotRead moretage. Both holidays were great. Hide

Had a fab holiday. The cottage was really cosy and ideal if you have dogs. We think it could do with a bit of an upgrade but never the less still really nice.

Appledore is the most beautiful place, we will go again. Mrs Evans is lovely, very friendly and helpful. A lovely bottle of Prosecco was waiting for us when we arrived. The cottage is lovely and cosy as is the enclosed paved area to the rear of the cottage. The cottage is perfect for 2 people and a dog. Very handy for the shops, pubs etc and only a few steps away from the SW coastal path.

Lovely cottage in an ideal location to get away from everyday life. People friendly and very accepting of dogs. Would definately recommend to anyone. Had a lovely relaxing week away and my dogs enjoyed every minute bounding around the beach every day. Thankyou
