A truly relaxing place that also offers fishing lakes. If you can bear to tear yourself away there is much to see and do nearby the coastal villages and towns of Braunton, Croyde, Woolacombe, Lynmouth, Lynton, Ilfracombe are all within a 30 minute drive. The National Trust property Arlington Court is just 4 miles and Knighthayes Court is a 45 minute drive. Just 10 miles from the local beach and 1.5 miles from the pub.

On entering the light and airy studio-style accommodation you will find yourself in the charming open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner/sleeping area which also has a wood burner, TV and DVD and French doors which lead out onto the decked balcony. The sleeping area with super-king-size zip-and-link can be made up as a twin on request. The well-equipped kitchen has everything you will need during your stay including an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge with freezer compartment, dishwasher and washer/dryer. Exploring the studio further you will find a shower room with a walk in shower and WC.

Step outside to enjoy dining alfresco on the decked balcony area. Enjoy overlooking the ponds on the comfortable garden furniture and rear courtyard.

Really nice cottage. Everything you need is there. The house is very private. We loved the porch on the fish pond. Both Exmoor and the beaches are nearby by car. Would definitely recommend this house.

The location is stunning, so private and watching the fish is so relaxing. The cottage is perfect for couples of all ages. comfortable and inviting.

Another lovely stay , 3rd time of going. Such a relaxing place to stay. Easy access to Barnstable, Braunton, Ilfracombe and others. SQ in Braunton is fabulous for food. Owners are so friendly. We will be back.

We had a lovely week at Kingfisher. We were greeted by Shirley and her son John on our arrival, who were so friendly and welcoming. The milk, wine, after eight mints and their own delicious smoked salmon provided were a very thoughtful touch. Kingfisher was as lovely as it looked in the photos. So cosy and comfortable with everything we needed. TheRead more bed was extremely comfy and what with that and the peace and tranquility, we slept so well. A must for the location surrounded with nature and within easy reach of other superb locations and the lodge tranquility The other part of the business is the trout farm, fresh smoked trout and salmon and fly fishing tuitions great fun

We had another wonderful holiday at the Kingfisher. The Fisheries is a wonderful place to stay, surrounded by nature, I even saw the resident Kingfisher on my last morning. The owners are really lovely people, they always make sure you have a wonderful time whilst staying. Plenty of places to visit in the local area and Barnstaple is a really nice Read moretown for shopping. The lodge is well equipped, clean and tidy. We were made very welcome and had the freedom which we were seeking. The lake is a superb place for a gentle walk in beautiful surroundings. The "cottage", really a Scandinavian style single room building, is spacious, well furnished and equipped and beautifully decorated. This is a property and location that you must not miss.

Superb lodge in a wonderful setting. Owners very welcoming and helpful. Clean and comfortable with a good bed and great bathroom. We had a great holiday - a good base for exploring North Devon.
