This lovely Devon retreat, located near the seaside village of Croyde, is the perfect base for a romantic couples' getaway. Just 7 miles away lies the beach, well-known for its excellent surfing opportunities, as well as plenty of cafes, pubs and shops. Take a stroll along the beach with up to two canine companions, and appreciate the stunning coastline that North Devon has to offer. Soak up the summer evenings with a BBQ on the patio, ideal for romantic al fresco dining.

This property is a single-storey retreat, filled with rustic charm. The open-plan living style is complemented by classic wooden beams and floor-to-ceiling windows, so the space feels bright and airy. The lounge area is beautifully decorated, with comfortable sofas to sink back into, and a Smart TV to accommodate a cosy movie night. Through to the dining area, great for relaxed dining, or a romantic dinner for two. The kitchen is perfectly appointed and well-equipped, ready for you to cook up a storm. The bedroom is impressive, with a free-standing bath for ultimate relaxation, as well as decor that shows both style and comfort.

This property has excellent access to beaches all around, including the sandy stretches of Saunton and Putsborough. Hop in the water or grab an ice cream for the perfect beach day. This is also a great location for walking enthusiasts, with miles of picture-postcard scenery along the South West Coast Path, incredible views from Baggy Point, or countryside adventures 16 miles inland at Exmoor National Park. There are plenty of quaint villages to visit too with excellent eateries and activities, such as Lynton (19.5 miles) or Combe Martin (8.5 miles).

My wife and I had a lovely Autumn break in this property. It's in a quiet and remote location, though only about 10 minutes from Barnstaple, brilliant for exploring north devon as you can get to lots of places in 30 minutes. Pyne arms 15 minutes away does excellent food. The bedroom is wonderful and the layout overall 'lets the outside in' giving iRead moret a relaxing feel. Lovely property but be careful if you have small dogs as they could get under, through or around the side of the entrance gates and onto the road. Also, driving on very narrow country lanes is required to get to the property - so confident drivers only.

Very rural location, which is lovely once you get there! Bit hairy driving the three miles along narrow country lanes to get to it though, particularly when dark and stormy and when meeting tractors. Excellent dog walking right on the doorstep and of course three fabulous beaches are not far away either, two of which have extensive dog walking areaRead mores. Braunton has everything you would need foodwise. Excellent pub, The Thatch, at Croyde allows dogs. Highly recommend this cottage. Hide

Nice wow factor when walking into the property but alas that was soon forgotten when we had to learn how to work any of the appliances as there was no instructions. Even turning on lamps was a mystery as the switch for them was on the opposite side of the room. Outside scruffy and unfinished. Shame as it could be so much better.

The cottage is gorgeous and has been one of my favourite visits to Devon. The property is relaxing, we watched plenty of Netflix and that bath is to die for! Great for the dog to have a run around, we didn't explore many walking paths as we were not 100% sure where they were. There were a couple of extras we wished would have been included, such asRead more hand soap etc and we did struggle with the wifi many evenings, but overall would deffo recommend! Hide

Beautiful property, spotlessly clean with high quality equipment and bedding. The huge bed so very comfortable. Lovely peaceful location, several nearby public footpaths for walking the dog. Overall lovely relaxing holiday. Special thanks to Clare and her team for such a clean holiday let, home from home.

Beautiful very spacious new barn conversion in a very rural location. I loved the bath and Ive never stayed in a holiday cottage with such a high standard of kitchen equipment. Great for the dog but be aware cottage next door is also dog friendly and only stock fence between the gardens.
