The detached barn in the owner’s grounds offers a secluded location, yet it's within walking distance of Appledore (1 mile), Westward Ho!’s golden sands and Northam beach (2 miles). Enjoy local seafood and explore the quirky shops, pubs and galleries in Appledore, hop across on the seasonal ferry to Instow (2 miles) or enjoy a round at the Royal North Devon Golf Club (2 miles). This lovely barn really does offer the best of all worlds; nature, tranquillity and fun days out.

Inside, there’s a wonderful sense of space, light and harmony. The open-plan interior has been designed with loving care, allowing maximum light whilst also being comfortable and calming. It’s a space to relax, bond and allow amazing new memories to blossom. From the high-vaulted roof and elegant wood burner to the underfloor heating and industrial light shades, everything about this property is of a high quality. The stunning estuarine and ocean views tie everything together, with wonderful horizon views.

Take a day trip from Bideford (3.5 miles) to Lundy Island, 20 miles offshore; it’s a glorious haven for seabirds and wildlife. Discover the incomparable Clovelly (15 miles), with its steep and winding streets and link to a slower, simpler past. Take to the surf at Croyde (21 miles) and Woolacombe (23 miles) or learn from scratch and fall in love with this sport forever. Explore the rugged Hartland peninsular (20 miles) and find the secret Hawker’s Hut on the coast path near Morwenstow (25 miles).

Second visit which again did not disappoint. The barn is lovely, warm & comfortable, it takes no time at all to feel at home in. The location of the Burrows Barn is superb for spending both time on the doorstep on the Burrows or for walks a short car journey away such as Baggy Point & Morte Point. We were again sad to leave but we are sure to book Read moreagin in the future. We really enjoyed our stay at Burrows Barn, the barn is thoughtfully equipped with great decor, it felt like a home as soon as we arrived. The courtyard was fine for the dogs. Lovely, comfortable and well equipped barn in an excellent position for beaches and the Northam burrows. Lots of other places to visit and shops nearby for anything you need. Burrows Barn is a gorgeous place to stay! Wonderfully equipped and the decor is great too! The walled terrace is perfect for dogs! The cottage is very dog friendly and the courtyard very safe and enclosed. However, if you have dogs that like some grass to pee on (as ours do), there is none, so you will need to take them out of the immediate area. We stayed at Burrows Barn during half term with our two children and our dog. The barn is spotlessly clean and really welcoming. The owners were very welcoming but not intrusive. It was a five minute walk to the country park which our dog loved and a 15-20 minute walk into Appledore. Place very well thought out, my only concern would need a bigger freezer as very tiny, with taking raw dog food with us that needed to be put in freezer, but very tiny.

The cottage is very relaxing, comfortable and clean. The location is superb. The walk to Westward Ho! along the beach is a real treat. Appledore is a 20 minute walk away to a very friendly group of people. Simon and Mercy, the owners are really nice people. We are so impressed we have booked agian for next year!!

A lovely cottage and a good location - Appledore and Instow especially. Good for walking the dog with 2 nice pubs less than 1 mile along the coastal path.
