Located in the English Riviera town of Brixham and just a short walk from the harbour. The town has a long-standing maritime history and the harbour remains the heart of it and offers visitors a choice of boat trips, from relaxing tours of Torbay, accompanied fishing trips and a regular service across the bay to the resort town of Torquay. There is plenty to see and do, from beaches and restaurants and even a fascinating replica of Sir Francis Drake’s ship, The Golden Hind. Further afield, the towns of Paignton and Torquay are also popular destinations with visitors and other attractions include the golden sandy beaches, a zoo, an aquarium and a wonderful steam railway which runs through the Dart Valley.

Newly refurbished in 2018, this delightful three-story coastal retreat is the perfect bolthole for exploring Brixham. The hallway is the perfect place to leave your walking boats behind you. Leading on from the hallway you with enter the delightful lounge/diner, which has been furnished to a lovely standard by the owners. Offering a wood burner, comfortable sofas and a Smart TV, it truly is the perfect space for those nights in after a long day of exploring all that this county has to offer. Following on through the property you will find the newly refurbished kitchen area, which comprises of an electric oven and hob, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, washing machine and microwave. After a fun filled day head on up the stairs to rest your heads, on the first floor you will find the master bedroom and the family bathroom. The master bedroom is well furnished and offers a king-size bed and an en-suite WC and wash basin. The shower room consists of a shower and WC. Heading on up to the second floor you will find the remaining two bedrooms, a light and airy  king-size bedroom and a twin room, great for the little ones of the party.

Venture outside to the rear enclosed garden area, which offers garden furniture, outside tap and hose. Roadside parking is available to the front of the property and the next street behind (subject to availability), alternatively, there are long stay public car parks located nearby.

Stayed here twice for Christmas had a wonderful time and the property was still in a great condition - hats off to the cleaners/management of the property. Perfect place to stay to experience the magic of Brixham.

Lovely clean cosy cottage. 10 minute walk to the harbour (where you are likely to see seals!). Would recommend a walk on Berry Head from where we were lucky enough to see dolphins. Nice to have a hoilday stay with a secure garden for our dog. Thank you!

We had a wonderful week in Captain's Cottage. The house was very clean and well equipped. We never managed to park on the road or by the cottage, but we expected this from other reviews so not a problem to us at all. It's in a great location as only ten minutes walk into town. A great base for exploring other areas too.

Great little place to stay, the cottage had everything we could need for the 2 of us and a dog. Cottage was clean and tidy and everything worked as it should. Parking can be a bit tricky at times but we always managed to find somewhere close by. Was a nice little walk in to town, although up lots of steps/steep slopes to get back. Some lovely bars Read moreand restaurants in town and nearly everywhere was dog friendly. Plenty of activities in the local area. Will look at returning here soon. Many thanks. Hide

Beautiful cottage set in a prime location with easy access to Brixham Harbour (just 10 minute walk). We had a lovely stay. it was centrol to pubs, restaurants, small beach, and we found a lovely little cove. Paignton beach was only 20 mins away with car parking on the beach, with plenty of local cafes/fish and chips. Just watch out for the seagulls

This is a wonderful place to stay and we thoroughly recommend it to anyone looking to use Brixham as their base to discover Devon. February 2023 We had the most lovely stay in Captains Cottage. Our family consists of 2 teenage boys, my husband and myself and a dog. The cottage was brilliantly located and superbly equipped. It was spotlessly clean and I really could not find fault with anything. I would highly recommend

This is a good bet for a stay in brixham. Very well appointed with everything youd need for a week-long break. Definitely be aware of the steps to get to the house- not suitable for those with mobility issues. We went in winter and the house is warm and cosy. Good value for money!

A lovely character cottage in the heart of Brixham, great location even with all the steps to contend with! The kitchen is well equipped if a family, there is a great selection of books and board games available to use.
