This comfortable 2nd floor apartment in a grade II listed building on one of Appledore’s pretty streets is a cosy Devon getaway.

Set in the idyllic fishing village of Appledore, this charming top-floor apartment makes a lovely romantic hideaway for a couple seeking a quiet break in North Devon. Perfect for keen walkers following the South West Coast Path or the Tarka Trail, the apartment offers views towards the River Torridge and is within easy reach of the bustling quayside. This is a fantastic base for discovering spectacular countryside, golden sandy beaches, and quaint villages with plenty of pubs, shops and restaurants.

Reaching this apartment, based at the top of the building, you will find the cheerful and inviting open-plan lounge/diner. The tastefully decorated lounge is an ideal space to unwind in at the end of a great day, with TV/DVD, a range of board games and books, and plenty of seating including a sofa bed (if guests require). The pretty dining area offers views across the Rivers Torridge and Taw and across to Instow and Crow Point. The North Devon Maritime Museum is just a few metres away, and Northam Burrows Country Park is within 1.5 miles. From the popular market town of Bideford (3.5 miles), you can take a boat trip to the island of Lundy. You can also visit the historic fishing village of Clovelly (14 miles) or the bustling town of Great Torrington (10.5 miles), which is home to RHS Garden Rosemoor and Dartington Crystal.

Lovely location & very well equipped, but please be mindful of the four flight of stairs needed to climb to get to the flat. Not ideal if you have any issues with joints etc.
