This beautiful property which has been refurbished in 2016 is tucked away in a quiet spot within the ancient village of Cockington. With a large terraced area, perfect for alfresco dining. Located nearby the owners home yet very private. An ideal base to explore the English Riviera.
The picturesque village of Cockington is lucky enough to be home to this beautiful property. This lovely area, with its colour-washed thatched cottages and quiet charm, will invite you to take a walk back in time and where better to do it from than this cottage? Tucked away from the crowds, it offers a private spot within the grounds of the owner’s home, yet it’s only seconds away from all that is on offer in the village.
Thoughtfully decorated, its neutral colour scheme gives a calm relaxed feel. Light-filled rooms give a sense of space during the day but at night, the comforting glow of the wood burner flickers gently in the background as you sit back to watch a favourite programme. A spacious conservatory offers an idyllic spot for a family meal, while the two bedrooms provide a restful place to unwind at the end of the day. On balmy summer evenings, head outside to the decked garden area, accessed from either the master bedroom or external steps from the ground floor. Relax on rattan-style furniture with a glass of wine and watch the Devon night sky fill with stars.
During the day, amble down to the village and pop into the local pub or tea rooms for something to eat. There is a craft centre and manor house, as well as the opportunity to take a ride with a horse and carriage around the village. Surrounded by 450 acres of parkland, there’s ample opportunity to explore. Just a couple of miles north of Torquay, you can also head to the harbour and beaches as well as the South West Coast Path that runs along this spectacular stretch of coastline.
Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.
