Situated just on the outskirts of one of the most picturesque coastal towns in South Devon, this charming property promises a lavish retreat as well as a great base to explore all that the county has to offer.
Situated in the beautiful village of Cockington, this cottage is true to its name. The perfect romantic bolthole, its charming exterior with Mediterranean-style sandy walls and huge painted entrance door give you an idea of what is to come inside. A contemporary space big enough for two but cosy enough to deserve the title, it doesn’t disappoint with its lovely warm living space. Upstairs, the master suite with seating area and huge wooden sleigh bed is the perfect place to relax at the end of a long day.
Welcome in the first light of the day from this lovely bedroom, and saunter downstairs for a light breakfast in the little courtyard if the weather allows. In the cooler winter months, the open-plan kitchen and living space is also a great place to eat. Winter nights are made for relaxing on the sofa with the warm lighting giving a feel of cosiness and calm.
Cockington must be one of the most quintessential places to visit in the South West, and this is something you’ll find yourself saying a lot as you discover the rest of the pretty villages of this part of the South Devon coast. But it really is. Colour-washed thatched cottages and pretty gardens fill the lanes and there is even a horse and carriage to take you on a tour around the village. For a day out, the harbour town of Torquay is only 2 miles to the south of the property and is a great place for shopping and sunbathing.
Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.
