Less than 1 mile from the South West Coast Path, this traditional country property is ideally located to gaze across the Celtic Sea from the dazzling North Devon Cliffs. This large three-bedroom home is a perfect base for families searching for an intimate setting with access to boundless outdoor activities.

 

The interior brings the outside surroundings indoors, with floral patterns and accents delicately placed throughout, as well as subtle greens resting against a white backdrop that allows natural light to beam through the cottage. Outside, guests will have access to a shared heated outdoor pool as well as further play facilities for the kids. There is no better place for your four-legged friends, with acres of lush Devonshire countryside to roam around in.

 

Beyond the property, the local village of Westward Ho! is less than 1 mile away, whilst the quaint market town of Bideford is less than 3 miles away and features a range of quaint shops, markets and eateries, including traditional local pubs and restaurants. For those who dream of exploring the landscapes that inspired one of England’s most renowned poets, the Kipling Tors walk that takes you along the sparkling waters of Bideford Bay will have you reaching for your pen.

Picnic tables, BBQ area and outdoor play areas will be open (only when social distancing can be adhered to). The laundry facilities are open, but will remain locked and guests will be given access after requesting the key from the owner who will disinfect once guests are finished.

All areas clean. Really tried to make a good base for children. Swimming pool was really a good facility

Lovely place to stay Very friendly owner who was welcoming and made us feel at by one instantly whilst allowing us our privacy Nice spot next to a pub, 20 minute walk to Westward Ho and a good place to base yourself for the surrounding area. Stunning coastal walk.

Positives: The cottage is lovely and clean, walking distance to the town, comfy and the play area and swing ball are a lovely added touch for the kids. Negatives: The cooker has had all the symbols removed with cleaning so it's a lucky guess whether you're turning on the oven or grill (same issue with the hob rings). No airer and just 1 (pay to useRead more) tumble dryer for 8 cottages so it's impossible to get your towels dry in a rainy week - there is a washing line and pegs for dry weather. Hide

This is a lovely snug and well equipped cottage in a well maintained and picturesque setting. Very handy to visit lots of places. The owners were friendly and helpful. The swimming pool area is fabulous. We would definitely revisit.

Nice little cottage but a bit under equipped for accommodation for six people, the fridge freezer wouldn't look out of place in a caravan. Some neds non stick pots and pans and better cooker/hob instructions would also help. Great location though, 10 minute drive to the beach and lots of local attractions. Kids loved the pool.
