Nestling at the end of a lane adjacent to the owners own home you are surrounded by acres of fruit orchards, produce gardens, bee hives and fields with sheep and chickens it is an idyllic spot and a short 10 minute walk to the beach.

Enjoy the peace and tranquillity of the owners’ small farm with a stay at this delightful property in the small Devonshire resort village of Combe Martin. In addition to the private patio garden there are also several acres of orchards and vegetable gardens which guests are able to explore, as well as a number of quiet garden areas.

A single-storey property sleeping two, this delightful cottage is located next to the owner’s farmhouse and is accessed via a narrow track. Several steps lead up to the front door which opens onto a hallway beyond, here you'll find a spacious lounge that has a wonderfully homely feel with two sofas and a TV/DVD. Unusually for a one-bedroomed property there is a separate dining room as well as a kitchen, bathroom, and a super-king bedroom which can be made up as a twin on request according to your needs. Guests are able to make use of the space on the owners’ farm where they will find several lawned areas surrounded by grazing animals and humming beehives.

The acres of land surrounding this property makes it feel as though it is situated in an isolated rural position, however it is, in fact only a 0.5-mile walk from Combe Martin village centre with its cafes, pubs, and handy shops. The beach too is only 0.5 miles away, a pretty pebbled bay sheltered by cliffs. 5 miles to the west of the village, the harbour town of Ilfracombe not only has a good range of shops and restaurants, but also a busting harbour from where visitors can join one of the boat trips across to the tranquil island of Lundy.

So very peaceful, nice small balcony to sit out on and enjoy breakfast listening to birdsong. Cottage was very clean and had everything we needed for our week long stay. Bed and bedding extremely comfortable.

Enjoyed our stay and Mike and Louise were very friendly and welcoming, leaving lots of treats on our arrival which was a thoughtful touch. The setting of the cottage was very peaceful but in easy walking distance of the village.

The owners were very friendly and helpful. We could go anywhere on the farm and help ourselves to any fruit and veg in season. They were also able to recommend places to visit etc. It was a lovely, peaceful place.
