A stylish and beautifully furnished pod next to the River Avon, with its very own hot tub, providing the perfect base for couples looking to relax in the Devon countryside.

This wonderful pod nestles in a stunning riverside position with a beautiful countryside backdrop. Set within a private enclosure next to the local pub, you have everything you need on your doorstep. This unique retreat boasts a private hot tub and fire pit, the perfect spot to relax after a day of exploring the local area. You can enjoy peaceful walks from the doorstep, or head south and you are in the South Devon Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty which offers lovely old coastal towns of Salcombe and Dartmouth where you can browse the many independent shops, galleries, restaurants and cafes. Other places of interest and attractions accessible from here include The South Devon Railway, the historic naval city of Plymouth, the cathedral city of Exeter, Pennywell Farm and Haldon Forest.

Step inside the beautiful pod and you will see the brilliantly designed and very comfortable studio-style lounge/kitchen/diner/sleeping area. The lounge area features a cosy sofa and Smart TV with views overlooking the garden. This space has been well thought out and has ample room to relax and dine, perfect after exploring what South Devon has to offer during the day. The kitchen is compact yet perfectly appointed and boasts all the essentials including a two ring gas hob, combi microwave oven and fridge with an ice compartment. The sleeping area has a comfortable king-size bed and next to this you will see the well laid out shower room with WC.

Moving outside you will step on to a lovely decked area, with the River Avon next to you making it the perfect place to relax. The decking area overlooks a stunning garden area and also features your own private hot tub and fire pit, making it a great spot to spend your holiday with your favourite drink or enjoy relaxing in the Sauna (dry heat).Private off-road parking for one car is available in the car park directly outside.

  • 1 dog allowed. Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week
  • There is an Accidental Damage Deposit of £150 when booking at this property, however this may be waived for £20. We’ll provide more details about this when booking your holiday.

Lovely peaceful 3 days away. Very clean and equipped with what you need. Hot tub is amazing however need to check the temperature before getting in as can get very hot. Owners helpful and pub on the doorstep !

Excellent facilities, location and welcome from the host. Will be recommending ! Parking is easy, but if a challenge being expected to clean up all of the dog hair when its a dog-friendly cottage but we went over with a broom, our own wipes and kept him off the bed (might prove a challenge for other owners). A great compact place to stay which provided a fantastic base from which to explore the area. Lovely to wake up and hear the river nearby. Sue (our host) was great , full of local knowledge and she runs a great local pub. Would definitely recommend to others.

Sue the owner was so welcoming and helpful, to have her pub next door which served fantastic food was a bonus! The staff were incredibly friendly, we must mention Adie and Kylie who are so lovely! The setting next to the river made it feel romanitic we absolutely loved the perfect pod and thoroughly enjoyed the hot tub. What a place!!! I took my partner for her 30th for a relaxing weekend without the kids and that was exactly what we got! Management were great to talk to and advised us a great day out down the beach where we went paddle boarding and snook into a pub on the beach for a pint of local ale. The pub on site does amazing food with very friendly staff. WRead moree are already looking at the Callander to book again we absolutely loved it!!! Hide

The pod was amazing really thought of everything. Nice welcome pack and a great pub. A really beautiful place located in a nice area not far from totnes town. We went on a walk from the cider press in Darlington to totnes was very nice.

The pod was very clean & had all we needed to enjoy a good week's holiday. It was great having the hot tub and the pub on the doorstep We ate in the pub several times & every meal was excellent. We had a fab week. Everything was clean and fresh. Well catered for in most aspects. Lovely welcome hamper as well. Sue and Mark made sure everything was perfect for when we arrived and we will definitely be going back next year!!

Lovely little pod immaculately presented . Site comprises 2 pods at opposite ends of a paddock with a sauna in the middle. Each pod has its own fire pit and log fired hot tub. Sauna is a dry heat; costs an extra pound per half an hour if you want to use it. Site backs onto the pub beer garden, car park and the Avon Inn. Privacy is an issue at preseRead morent. This was an absolutely perfect place to stay. I can't recommend it highly enough. The pod was super well equipped and comfortable, the wood fired hot tub, an absolute treat!!!
