A superb peaceful location in the heart of beautiful North Devon this Grade II listed barn, adjacent to the owners' farmhouse, is situated on a 27 acre small holding with a variety of farm animals.

If being on a smallholding surrounded by animals is your idea of a dream holiday, then the enchantingly-named Dipple Dairy Cottage should certainly be on your bucket list. You can have a fantastic holiday without ever needing to jump in the car as there’s a local shop and pub just under 4 miles away as well as delightful on-site activities. This grade II listed barn has fishing, a vegetable garden and pretty orchard in which to take a gentle afternoon stroll - it’s the perfect romantic escape.

The barn, adjacent to the owner’s farmhouse, is full of character with exposed beams and original stonework peeking out from amongst muted tones. A warming log burner in its own inglenook fireplace is just the spot for relaxing with some toasted crumpets and a pot of tea on a chilly winter’s day. During warmer seasons, head to the vegetable garden and polytunnel where you can pick your own fresh salads and vegetables to enjoy with a BBQ on the patio.

If 27 acres of farmland to explore isn’t enough, head down to Bude, 12 miles away, where you can relax on the beautiful golden beaches. Summerleaze Beach has its own semi-natural tidal pool which is great for swimming and paddle boarding or you could head into the centre to have a look around the shops and have a bite to eat. For a fun day out, visit the donkeys in the cliffside village of Clovelly and have an adventure at The Milky Way Adventure Park, just an 8-mile drive from the cottage.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

This is a charming and comfortable cottage in a very peaceful location with friendly and helpful owners. It is however rather isolated and you are very car dependent to get to the nearest shop or places of interest. Nearby eating out options are limited and the cooking equipment could be better.

Very nice cottage with good facilities and friendly owners. location was not where we thought it was but turned out fine, just a bit more driving. The local village has a very good shop and pub/ restaurant.

A lovely cosy cottage, perfect for a quiet, relaxing break! We loved making use of the wood burner! The cottage was well equipped, and perfect for us and our springer spaniel Molly. Carol gave us some great pub recommendations, and had kindly left us a yummy cream tea on arrival. We enjoyed our stay at Dipple Dairy Cottage.

The cottage is beautiful and very cosy. Everything we could have wanted or needed. I took all but the kitchen sink and didnt need most of it. Owners are very accommodating and friendly without being in your face. Steve was a mine of useful information. Carols homemade scones , clotted cream and jam were delicious and a lovely touch. Although the coRead morettage was a tad remote the surroundings were beautiful as was the peace and quiet Hide
