Staying at this spacious studio apartment above the landowner’s garage puts you in the heart of everything North Devon has to offer. Guests can make the short drive to the market town of Barnstaple, where you can explore its shops, restaurants, pubs, cinema and theatre. Visit the village of Instow with its beach, sand dunes, restaurants and pubs. Cyclists can journey along the Tarka Trail while hikers can enjoy a day exploring the wilds of Exmoor. Surfers and sunseekers can check out the beaches at Croyde, Saunton and Westward Ho!, whilst guests can also enjoy the family attractions of The Big Sheep, Arlington Court, The Milky Way, Tapeley Park and RHS Rosemoor Gardens.

The property is entered by a door at ground level, a staircase leads up into the middle of the studio. Inside the property, the layout is open plan and spread out over one floor as a lounge/kitchen/bedroom. The lounge area features a Smart TV. There is a breakfast area with a table and seating for two people. The kitchen area is equipped with electric oven, gas hob, fridge, freezer, microwave and washing machine. The sleeping area features a double bed with a shower room, with double shower and WC, off to one side.

Outside the property is an enclosed balcony deck that is accessed by double doors from the lounge area. The balcony is equipped with seating and a BBQ, ideal for enjoying an evening meal while taking in the beautiful scenic views. There is a shared enclosed garden and guests can also enjoy the owner’s attractive lawn gardens.

We found the property perfect for our short stay whilst visiting friends. It was so quiet and if the weather had been more kind to us we would have used the balcony but we still managed to sit with patio door open to enjoy the view. The bed was so comfortable and cosy - didnt want to get out of it in the morning. We did not need to contact the owneRead morer for anything but was nice to think he was close by if there was a problem. Hide

The Coach House was excellent with lovely views of Barnstaple, especially at night. The host, Mr Patel was really helpful when we need another lighter for the hob.

The place is lovely have stopped there before and the owner is a lovely person and friendly the only thing is the television it says sky but a lot of programmes couldnt get and sometimes programmes drop out

Great location with easy access to Barnstaple/north Devon area with plenty of local shops and restaurants close by. Quiet, spacious and comfortable and welcoming host. Kitchen and facilities fine for two, though could do with a bit of tlc here and there. Just a shame the weather was so poor we couldn't use the balcony!

Lovely apartment very friendly owners. Well equipped everything you need in the kitchen. We have stayed here before and the only disappointment for us was the fact there are new houses spoiling the view of the estuary!!

Loved the Accommodation, Location, comfort and general feeling of quietness and well being while at the property and a week wasn't anywhere near long enough. Our Host, Mr Patel is a lovely man and very helpful and chatty too. There is a nice pub just 5 mins walk away called 'The Cedars Inn' - lovely food and staff When can we move in ? :-)

This accommodation was simply one of the best self-catering that we have ever stayed in. The host Mr Patel was very friendly and helpful from the very start of our week at the cottage. The area was quiet and so well placed for exploring North Devon. we would definitely stay again in the future.

The holiday let proved to be perfect for my needs. Its located conveniently close to shops and a pub, and yet sufficiently far from traffic so as to be tranquil. A beautiful apartment in a fab location. Views are lovely although unfortunately you cant see the river now, but the woodland and wildlife is special. Everything you could possibly need is in the apartment and the owners are amazing, very helpful in any way and lots of advice on the surrounding area. The bed is extremely comfortable and the double Read moreshower is really great. It was a fantastic place to stay with so many things to do on your doorstep. It was lovely to sit on the balcony with a coffee in the morning and watch the views come to life as the sun came over the hills. The local pub was less than 5 minutes walk away and did great food. We would definitely stay again

Ideal location, possible to walk into Barnstaple, takes about 40minutes, host walked part of the route with us so we didnt get lost, we had lovely weather, sunny balcony for breakfast, so warm we could have done with some shade ie parasol, evening not a problem as shady. We had a lovely stay but feel that some areas need attention,ie broken blinds on sliding door..veranda needs rubbing down an fresh coat of paint..rubber slip mat needed in shower.

Lovely coach house very clean and accommodating mr Patel was very friendly and was always there to help especially with recommendations where to visit. We would definitely visit again
