This property enjoys a remarkable location, perfectly situated overlooking the beach of Westward Ho! with its two mile stretch of sand, which makes it a popular destination for families, beach-lovers and water sports enthusiasts. To one side of the beach Northam Burrows Country Park is a haven for marine wildlife and offers a shady break from the beach amongst the sand dunes. For those who want to explore a bit further afield there is plenty to see and do within a short drive of the property, including The Big Sheep, the historic harbour town of Bideford and the pretty fishing village of Appledore.

On arrival take a moment to admire the spectacular views on offer of Westward Ho! beach. The property is accessed via the rear conservatory door which leads into the light and airy kitchen/breakfast room. Which is truly the perfect back drop for catching up whilst cooking up a storm in the kitchen area. The kitchen offers an electric oven and hob, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and microwave. Next door is the utility room which houses a washing machine, tumble dryer and a separate shower room with shower and WC. Following on through the property you will enter the fabulous lounge area which offers a large window allowing you to sit back and relax amongst the rich, soft furnishings and watch your favourite programme on the TV or just enjoy the beautiful sea views. The dining room offers a table with seating for up to four guests. After a long day of exploring, head upstairs to the first floor where you will find the two bedrooms, a spacious double room which boasts remarkable sea views and a light and airy twin room. You will also find the shower room here, with shower and WC.

Venture outside where you will find an enclosed patio area, with garden furniture, spectacular sea views and an outside shower which is perfect to wash yourself down after your visit to the beach then hang up your wet suits on the rack which is also on offer. There is allocated parking for one car. The property is located on a hill.

Stunning house very clean everything you need in the property stunning views from the bedroom . Short walk to the town down a hill .. Some great walks with dogs . No Internet, which was nice no distractions

Fairway cottage is lovely. It could maybe do with a bit updating outside as the outside sitting area is a little old . The sofas in the lounge are a little uncomfortable, and the blind in the twin room isnt long enough to fit the window , but in saying this fairway cottage is situated perfectly to get into Westwood ho but also high up and far away Read moreenough to benefit from amazing views from the master bedroom . Lovely cottage, everything that is required for a relaxing holiday. Fantastic view over the bay from the master bedroom. Safe walkable route to the beach, 10 minutes there, a little longer back up the hill. Car parking easier for a smaller car, but then there is no real reason the move it once it is parked up. Had to clean before we unpacked. Upholstery dirty - we had to buy throws to cover so we could sit in comfort. Kitchen cupboard fronts & handles were splashed with food & room doors were dirty from hands pulling doors closed behind them. Overall, the cottage was ideal and well kitted out, being in a perfect location with fantastic views over Westward Ho! Disappointed with general cleanliness of the cottage, including the yard which had unsightly dead brown weeds growing between slabs. BBQ was filthy and thick with burnt on grease. Couldn't gain access to patio table and chairs as gRead morearage key lost. Not enough characters permitted in this feedback to be able to list all issues. Cottage was ideally located and although looked further was not more than a five minute walk to the beach -a bit further to the dog area as there are restrictions 1 May to 30 September - it was a fabulous base to explore the area with miles of unspoilt beaches and we will definitely be looking to return.

Cottage is really lovely and has every thing you could need. Views are wonderful and the walks for the dogs are woods down to the beach. It is a steep walk but we found various short cuts and it's only about 10 minutes so it's totally manageable. Very happy holiday and we would recommend.

The cottage is at the top of Westward Ho! affording a lovely view of the sea and coastline. It is a fairly steep walk to the town centre but it only takes a few minutes. There are plenty of good places to eat and many different places to visit within an hours' drive. The cottage is very comfortable and spacious. Everything was clean and ready to usRead moree. Web site pictures make it look as if Beach is really close, its about 1/2mile away and although its down hill its a big climb to get back up, had to use car every day which added alot of cost to holiday. The house is ideally situated to explore the wonderful North Devon coast. The main bathroom is lovely and the downstairs shower room good. Great for dogs with a handy outside shower. Shame the bushes at the front of the property hadn't been cut back as this did detract from the view down to the sea.

This is a lovely house with a fantastic view. We had everything we needed on arrival and enjoyed a welcome pack. The beach is fantastic, the walk is moderately testing but we needed the exercise. A warning, if you have a dog, it is allowed on the beach but only at the other end, total walk is 20 mins. We loved staying at fairway cottage , I would say if you are planning on walking into Westwood ho be prepared for a uphill walk which may not be suitable for everyone, but absolutely fine for us . Lovely little cottage with great views and the added touch of tea, coffee, and scones and cream and jam is amazing . We will definitely be back

A gorgeous cottage with a beautiful wide view of the sea - this is because it is positioned high up, so does require walking uphill from the town/ beach to get to (approx 10 mins walk) - the walk is not suitable for anyone with mobility issues. We didnt bring a car and were able to get around easily to explore by foot/bus. We had a fabulous weeks holiday with our dog The cottage was equipped with everything we needed . Not easy to park a large car . Walking to the beach would be difficult for anyone who was less than able bodied . Beaches were all kept clean . Friendly neighbours .
