You will be ideally situated to explore all that North Devon offers, and with Tunnels' Beach just a short stroll away you can enjoy a drink or ice cream in the sun. Alternatively head to the high street and discover a variety of independent shops, pubs and restaurants, or head down to the pretty harbour where you will find Verity, Damien Hirst’s famous sculpture. Further sand and sea can be found just a short drive away at Woolacombe, Croyde and Saunton, all offering excellent surfing opportunities. Walkers can enjoy exploring nearby Exmoor and the South West Coast Path, both offering stunning scenery. Other places of interest accessible from here include the historic market town of Barnstaple, the pretty fishing village of Appledore, and Combe Martin’s Wildlife Park.

Stepping into this delightful property you will immediately find yourself in a lovely sociable kitchen/diner with a TV, and this characterful space provides a perfect venue for a relaxed family meal. The kitchen itself is also perfectly appointed and boasts a granite work surface, electric oven and hob and a microwave, and the utility area in the next room offers a fridge/freezer, dishwasher and washing machine. From here take the first flight of stairs up to the first floor and into the restful and welcoming lounge, this beautiful room has a bay window, Smart TV and a pebble effect electric fire. Relax here with a good book after a day on the beach or gather with family to watch your favourite film. Also, on the first floor is a separate WC. Another flight of stairs then lead up to the second floor where you will discover a superb and spacious king-size bedroom with TV and an en-suite shower room and WC. Approached via the final set of stairs, on the third floor and completing the offering inside the property, are a cosy double bedroom with TV, a single bedroom, also with TV and a light and shower room with WC.

Located outside and to the front of the property is a pretty patio area with garden furniture and BBQ, provided for your relaxation and enjoyment. There is roadside parking outside the property, subject to availability or alternatively, additional parking is available in the public car park at the bottom of the hill.

We had a lovely week here. The cottage is very spacious and bright, is tastefully furnished and decorated and has a warm homely feel about it. The kitchen/ utility room has all the appliances you need. Beaches and harbour with nice pubs and restaurants in walking distance. Great bus service with bus stop at the end of the road.

Lovely place and great location. Very comfortable accommodation, with all you need for a great getaway. The accommodation is over 4 floors, the rooms are spacious and allows dogs. The property is close to the town, beaches and supermarket, all in walking distance. The harbour has boat trips and scenic walks to neighbouring bays. For a family of 4 aRead morend 1 dog, it was brilliant. A note about parking availability, the owners kept a space for us when we arrived and no problems after that. Hide

We ended up in this holiday let as the location we'd originally chosen was unavailable due to the proximity of a construction site nearby. The fact that this property had a demolition site on 3 sides with heavy plant which commenced work at 8am is more than a slightly cruel irony. Neither the property owner or holiday lets notified us of this not iRead morensignificant issue. The kitchen was filthy, it had thick black splinter filled dust on all surfaces. We left after 2 nights, 5days early. Hide

Fisherman's Hideaway is very convenient and close to all amenities, It is well stocked and we found it very clean. Parking could be an issue at certain times of day.

The accommodation was clean and welcoming. The beds are comfortable. The owners are friendly. Ilfracombe overall is dog friendly with many pubs/ cafes accepting well behaved dogs on lead. Plenty to do in the area and the coastal walks are a must.
