Former farmhouse enjoying a very private, secluded location close to Exmoor National Park, set within large grounds, with access to 240 acres of stunning wildlife rich countryside.

With access to over 240 acres of scenic Devonian countryside and woodland, and located just south of Exmoor National Park, Gracious Ford Cottage is the perfect setting for a classically romantic break in the countryside. Whether you're out on a shopping trip to nearby Tiverton (10.5 miles), or getting stuck into a game of table tennis or table football in the sunroom, your troubles will melt away in no time at all.

Although the property occupies a single-storey annexe of the main farmhouse, it will be unoccupied while guests are staying. So you’re granted seclusion and privacy to enjoy your holiday however you please; evenings in by the wood burner, breakfasts in the broad country-style kitchen, or suppers fresh from the BBQ on the patio on warm evenings. Cheerful colours compliment exposed wooden beams and stonework, creating that timeless cottage aesthetic. Outside, the expansive garden is the perfect space for your four-legged friends to stretch their legs.

Pubs, restaurants and local conveniences can be found in the town of Bampton, 5 miles from the cottage. It’s only 6 miles to Exmoor National Park for scenic drives, walks through quaint villages, Dunkery & Horner Nature Reserve and the South West Coastal Path. For a faster pace, you can visit the town of Tiverton, the commercial centre of Mid Devon, a great spot for shopping, a castle visit and lunch by the River Exe.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

Great cottage fabulous location everything you could possibly require for a quiet retreat. Would not go anywhere else. Owners are fabulous couple make you feel so welcome.

This was our third stay at the cottage and I am sure we will be back again. If you are looking for peace and quiet and complete privacy where all you can hear are the birds and no neighbours for half a mile this is for you. Perfect!
