Set on a peaceful holiday park in the heart of the North Devon countryside it allows guest the perfect opportunity to enjoy the peace and quiet of country life. There are fairy trails onsite throughout the park grounds for children to follow from May to September (charges apply). There are also food vans onsite that will visit and be available every night during May half term and Summer holidays. Guests who are keen walkers or cyclers are ideally positioned to join the Tarka Trail (cycle hire available additional charges apply), a long-distance path which offers wonderful scenery as well as welcome food stops and watering holes along the way. If you fancy an afternoon at the beach, sandy Westward Ho! is just a short drive away. Both Dartmoor and Exmoor are within easy reach. Just down the road in Torrington, attractions include RHS Rosemoor Gardens, the excellent Plough Arts Centre for interesting movies and Dartington Crystal. For those who fancy venturing a little further, pretty Clovelly is a seaside village with steep cobbled streets that lead down to a harbour and the sea. For water sports and fishing, Tamar Lakes is a short drive away.
Stepping through the door into the open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner, the lounge offers comfy seating with a TV/DVD and iPod docking station for guests to sit and relax after a busy day exploring. Take a seat at the dining table and enjoy a home cooked meal prepared in the well-equipped kitchen, with electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge, freezer and dishwasher. Heading further into the lodge you will find the three bedrooms, a king-size with en-suite shower room with shower and WC and TV, a double and a twin. Completing the accommodation is a bathroom with shower over bath and WC.
Outside, on your very own private decked area, there is a gas BBQ and garden furniture for you to enjoy dining alfresco with a glass of wine or have a relaxing soak in the private hot tub. There is off-road parking for two cars. Use of a shared utility room with coin-operated washing machines and tumble dryers. The park has a good range of facilities that guests can use during their stay including a solar heated outdoor swimming pool (May to September), a well-equipped children’s play area, a games room with toddler area, shop and on-site bar (summer only). 3 acre dog exercise paddock and direct access to stream also on site. External locked storage area available for guest use under decking.
