One of three cottages set in an area of outstanding natural beauty. Close to North Devon’s award-winning beaches and Victorian harbours.

This lovingly converted two-storey barn has been furnished to a high standard and offers open-plan accommodation perfect for a relaxing getaway. Although nestled in the countryside, the property is only 3 miles from the Victorian fishing town of Ilfracombe. Take one of the boat trips over to Lundy island and spot the puffins or go on a fishing trip along the stunning coastline where you will see lots of sea wildlife. Woolacombe is only 5 miles away and has 3 miles of sandy beach and is excellent for families and surfers. Only 9 miles away is the famous Exmoor National Park with its dramatic moorland, woodland walks and wildlife such as the Exmoor ponies. The cottage is also close to a clay pigeon shooting ground for a wonderful day out.

Step inside to the open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner with its spacious beamed ceiling and underfloor heating to keep you warm on the cooler evenings. With sumptuous sofas and a Smart TV, you can sit and enjoy a favourite movie here after a busy day out having fun with the family and friends. Also in this light and airy room is the dining area, where you can sit and plan your fun-filled days ahead over a breakfast made in the kitchen, which offers everything that you need, including an electric oven and hob, microwave dishwasher, fridge/freezer and washer/dryer. On the ground floor are two of the three bedrooms, one super-king room and one twin (which can be made into zip and link super king, if requested at time of booking) and there is also a downstairs WC. On the first floor is a super-king bedroom with an en-suite with a bath and shower attachment and WC. There is also a family bathroom with a bath, separate shower and WC.

To the side of the barn is a patio area and a charcoal BBQ to dine alfresco on the lovely warm evenings while watching the sunsets. There is farmland where you are free to roam or take your four-legged friends for a walk. There is also a games room that is shared with the other two cottages. Spend the rainy days having fun playing on the table football, pool table and basketball arcade game. There's a washing area for wetsuits, muddy boots, and dogs, plus a shed is also provided to store surfboards and push bikes. Allocated parking for 2/3 cars. Additional parking outside a further barn near the cottages.

We stayed in Holly cottage for a long weekend & loved the cottage & it's peaceful location. The games room was also a massive hit with our grandson - well, all of us really! There was fresh milk plus cream teas in the fridge (much appreciated, thank you) & tea, coffee provided. The beach at Woolacombe is within easy reach too. Beautiful cottage, lovely location. Great games room. Great garden area for our dog. Would highly recommend. Ilfracombe just 8 min drive. Cottage very rural with great walks.

Nice accommodation, very comfortable and equipped with all the essentials (including WiFi). Owners were very welcoming and friendly and on hand if we needed anything. Property is well located for local beaches, attractions and amenities whilst set in a nice quiet location. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and would definitely stay here again.
