Set in an elevated position in the beautiful Devon countryside this little barn provides a great haven, a great base from which to explore. The tranquil location offers woodland and country walks right from your doorstep. Bampton with it's shops including a baker, butcher, fresh grocery store and local supermarket just five miles away. A little further is the delightful Exmoor town of Dulverton  set on the River Barle. Knightshayes National Trust is a short drive, as is the medieval village of Dunster with a fascinating Castle. Tarr Steps and Porlock are only 13 miles and 22 miles respectively. The north coast is a short drive away where you will find Lynton, Lynmouth and Minehead along with other beautiful beaches of Saunton Sands, Croyde and the award winning Woolacombe Beach.

The larger market town of Tiverton lies 9 miles away with extensive local facilities including two large supermarkets, along with its pretty canal, where you can enjoy a ride on a horse drawn barge. The River Exe meanders through Bickleigh village, where you'll find a craft centre enroute to the city of Exeter. Whatever you decide to do, you will look forward to returning to your cosy little barn to relax and unwind.

Step inside the stable door and you find yourself in the open-plan lounge/diner, a perfect place to sit and relax on the comfy sofa after a busy day exploring, watch your favourite show or film on the Smart TV/DVD in front of the warming wood burner. A small dining table and chairs makes mealtimes easy and the kitchen is well-equipped with everything you need to whip aup a tasty meal, having electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge with an ice compartment and dishwasher. On the ground floor is the shower room with WC and this also houses the washing machine. heading up the narrow cottage style stairs to the bedroom is a king-size bed.

Stepping outside, there is a gated and fully enclosed patio area with garden furniture right outside your front door, ideal for morning coffee or evening drinks. Stone steps lead down to the owner's large lawn area where your four legged friends can wander freely. The lawn area leads down towards the stream but is fully fenced. At night you can stargaze, with very little light pollution in this area, it is much clearer to see the stars above. There is private off-road parking for one car.

Very pretty and well appointed cottage in a beautiful country setting. We received a very warm welcome and were made to feel at home on arrival. We will look forward to booking again in the future. Lovely base to explore Exmoor and beyond with our dog!

Lovely to have use the enclosed garden for our hype active rehomed young Cocker Spaniel (He loved it), the cottage is well equipped, cosy & in easy striking distance of many local attractions as well as Exmoor National Park.

A lovely well-equipped cottage in a beautiful area, with walks from the cottage. The fact that the owners allowed us to use their large, riverside garden was an added bonus and our dog loved it. The owners were very welcoming.

A really beautifully though out, equipped and cosy little cottage - we absolutely loved our time in the little barn. The location is beautiful, the owners really friendly and helpful and having use of their HUGE and secure front garden is just a dream with two dogs. We didnt want to go home!

The Little Barn is a lovely place for a couple and their 4 legged friend. The furnishings are high quality as is the kitchen. Lovely little barn, so peaceful, great bed and bedding. Kitchen had all we wanted. Walks are hilly,so we only did one which we and the dogs enjoyed. Great breakfast at the The Copper Pot in Dulverton. Owners very nice and helpful. Pity weather wasn't that great to sit outside or use bbq.

We had a wonderful holiday. The cottage and its setting are beautiful. The cottage was very clean and comfortable, the owners live next door and could not have been nicer or more helpful. Little Barn is a peaceful haven from every day life. We had lazy mornings, long walks and log fire evenings. We only had 3 nights but didnt use the car at all. A fantastic well equipped cottage, with all amenities, it is very homely, comfortable and peaceful. It is in a great location to explore both North and South Devon. We really loved our time at the Little Barn! It was a real escape from normal life with the surroundings and lovely garden and stream. We have just returned from a wonderful holiday at the Little Barn. This is a lovely well equipped property set in a beautiful peaceful location. It has a wonderful huge enclosed garden for our dog to run around in & really enjoy! Paula & James were excellent hosts and we will definitely return.

Very comfortable and well appointed little cottage. The owners go out of their way to make you feel welcome. Perfect location to get away from it all!

Highly recommend this little hideaway , great walks and a very comfortable stay. Went out for dinner every evening ,I did pre book after recommendation from the owners.. closet town 4 miles away so not too far to stock up with provisions

James and Paula are just wonderful host and Littke Barn cottage and gardens are absolutely perfect in every way. It really is a little gem and can't wait to return.

A very cmfortable home-from-home close to the A361 from which to explore North Devon and Exmoor.. we can recommend the Exeter Inn in Bampton for a gastropub meal and Marwood Hill Gardens north of Barnstaple with its well stocked nursery specialising in rare Astilbies...

The cottage was lovely and furnished and equipped to a very high standard, could not have asked for more. The large garden is beautiful and totally enclosed and safe if you have a dog as we have. The owners Paula and James were unobtrusive but very helpful when we needed something. The only sounds are the birds and occasional horse, if you want peaRead morece and quiet you cannot ask for more. This is a little gem , very cosy , well equipped , perrrrfect location , the owners Paula and James were very welcoming and helpful. The cream tea awaiting us on arrival was divine. Had the most relaxing time at Little Barn, James & Paula are lovely hosts loved the amazing cream tea on arrival. The cottage has everything you need, very comfortable bed & a gorgeous view from every window.We didn't travel much spent all our time at the venue sat outside watching the birds & enjoying the peace & quiet.There are lots of walks righRead moret on the doorstep through woodland & countryside lots of wildlife. Home from home, stunning location, beautiful gardens, patio gets the sun till late afternoon
 I have never felt so relaxed after a short break than when we returned from Little Barn.
The towels were amazing quality and the bed was the comfiest we've ever slept in!
