Snug, inviting and cosy, the cottage is welcoming and ideally situated for making the most of Appledore’s popular pubs, excellent chip shops and lovely restaurants, and is just a couple of miles from the sandy beach at Westward Ho!
The property retains some original features including a traditional wood burner, a stone fireplace and a wooden feature fireplace, and offers cosy accommodation with a pretty lounge, a charming dining room and a delightful kitchen. There are two cosy bedrooms – a double and a bunk bedroom – on the first floor, which is reached via steep cottage-style stairs. The cottage also has a neat enclosed garden which can be reached via a 40-metre passageway and which offers a lovely space for enjoying a BBQ or sitting back and admiring the view across the neighbouring gardens.
The cottage is just 50 metres from the water, making it an ideal base for exploring this lovely village with its bustling quayside and the nearby North Devon Maritime Museum. There are beautiful beaches to discover in Instow, which can reached by ferry, or along the coast in the popular Victorian seaside resort of Westward Ho! (3.5 miles). Northam Burrows Country Park is nearby, and other family attractions include The Milky Way Adventure Park, The BIG Sheep and Tapeley Park (all within 13 miles).
