With a cottage-style interior and games room for indoor entertainment, enjoy days and nights spent roaming and relaxing in stunning north Devon.

If you are feeling chilly, the roaring open fire will soon warm you up as you sink into the comforting sofas in the lounge where you can unwind in front of the TV/DVD or plan tomorrow’s adventure. While the sun is shining and the days are warm, head outside and light the BBQ for a tasty dinner which can be served on the patio. Otherwise use your time to rustle up a feast in the kitchen which has fabulous original beams and is classically decorated. Both bedrooms have en-suites and access via steps; the twin can be located by descending from the living area whilst the king-size room is reached by climbing up the stairs.

Once you have explored the property’s grounds, make the 3-mile trip to Exmoor National Park where you will find the magical moors with their twisting rivers, wild ponies and dramatic views. The North Devon coastline is one to behold so for golden sands, rippling waves and water sports head 15 miles to Saunton Sands beach. Here you can step onto the South West Coast Path for breathtaking views of the ocean below. If a spot of shopping and a bite to eat are what you fancy, the market town of Barnstaple is just 9 miles away and it has a museum where you can uncover a little local history.

This cottage was in a nice, quiet location. It clean, and charming. We enjoyed a fire at night and slept well in comfy beds.
