Peacefully tucked away in the heart of Devon amongst some of England’s most stunning countryside, within easy reach of seaside resorts and just a short walk to the heart of the pretty village and pub.

The cottage has been lovingly restored and is located in Devon's rolling heartland, on the edge of the friendly village of Lapford and a short stroll from the village pub. For those looking for an adventure during their stay, then you must discover the national parks of Dartmoor and Exmoor which are renowned for their changing landscapes, stunning views and rugged, wide open spaces. Also, nearby is the cathedral city of Exeter, which combines high street shopping with places of interest. For those looking for the coast you have plenty to choose from, to the north you have the beautiful beach of Croyde which offers a large sandy beach and to the south you have the dramatic red cliffs of Sidmouth.  Devon offers a multitude of National Trust Properties to enjoy many of which are easily  accessible from this property.  Don't forget your fishing rods, a Carp lake if only minutes away.

This semi-detached cottage is a perfect cosy bolthole for those who want to get away from it all, or a base to explore all that Devon has to offer. The cottage neighbours the owner’s family home where a warm welcome awaits yet privacy is assured. Step into the kitchen/diner from the cobbled courtyard where you can settle in for a snug evening with a feast at the dining table. The kitchen has been thoughtfully fitted with an electric oven and hob, fridge and microwave. From here enter the hall which is a perfect place to hang coats and store muddy boots after a countryside walk. As a special treat you may like to indulge in a full English breakfast in the dining room of the owner's adjacent B&B or take advantage of the licenced bar which includes ciders made with apples from the two Lowerfield orchards. The spacious bathroom is also located here with bath, separate shower and WC. Heading upstairs is the cosy lounge with TV/DVD which enjoys views over the gardens. You will also find the king-size bedroom on this floor where you can sleep tight after a full day of exploring.

Venture outside into the cobbled courtyard with table and chairs with your morning coffee. You are welcome to enjoy the attractive shared patio and gardens to the front of the owner’s home where you can enjoy a game of croquet. You may also enjoy the walk down through the avenue of trees accessed through the small gateway halfway up the main driveway. If you are seeking privacy and some total rest then the owners will be pleased to show you some secret corners of the gardens where you can sit and read or do whatever relaxes you, without disturbance. There is allocated off-road parking for two cars.

Dogs fees are charged per dog at £20.00 for up to 7 nights, £40.00 for up to 14 nights and an additional £20.00 for every week or part week thereafter.
