Cosy cottage in a quiet farmland location, close to the Devon/Cornwall border, within walking distance of the picturesque Tamar Lakes and a short drive from the local beach at Sandymouth.

This traditional stone-built cottage, within 500 metres of the beautiful Tamar Lakes on the Cornwall/Devon border, has many original features to delight you. It's a spacious couples' getaway on two levels, one of two holiday properties on a peaceful smallholding, 3 miles southwest of Bradworthy. Shop for great local produce in Bradworthy or in Bude (9 miles away), then unleash your inner chef - the kitchen has all you need to serve a romantic supper in the dining room, or why not fire up the BBQ for a sizzling al fresco feast?

From the car-parking space, steps lead down to the pretty exterior; exposed stonework and hand finished white-washed plaster, and inside you'll love the timeless charm of exposed solid timber beams and stone walls. An open-plan living/kitchen layout downstairs, and the handy en-suite bathroom upstairs makes the most of the space. The open-tread oaken staircase enhances the airy feel. Temptingly comfortable leather sofas, a bath for some crucial pampering time, and your relaxing double bed under the beamed pitched ceiling – so many ways to relax and recharge. Outside, in your private, enclosed garden, there’s a sunny seating area, and lawn for your dog to run free.

Upper Tamar Lake’s water sports centre and cafe are within a mile. Country rambles start from your door, and on the North Cornish coast your nearest beach, Sandymouth, is within 7 miles. The Hartland Heritage Coast offers fantastic walks along the South West Coast Path, and further into Cornwall, quaint Boscastle village makes a charming seaside day trip destination. Bradworthy has shops and a pub, and bustling Bude with a wide choice of shopping and dining is just 9 miles away.

Dogs fees are charged per dog at £20.00 for up to 7 nights, £40.00 for up to 14 nights and an additional £20.00 for every week or part week thereafter.

Delightful barn conversion with cosy downstairs and huge light bedroom and bathroom upstairs. Thoughtfully equipped kitchen, heating very efficient and easy to operate. Ingredients to make cream tea, large bottle of milk, butter and large loaf provided, which was very welcome. Excellent all round.
