This remarkable coastal penthouse apartment, has been fitted and furnished to a delightful standard, offering the perfect Devon retreat for a family or couples alike.

Stunning views of North Devon’s dramatic coastline, adjacent to a historic cliff railway and in the heart of Exmoor National Park – this property has so much to offer. Situated 500 feet above sea level, its elevated position allows guests unbridled sea views from most rooms allowing you to immerse yourself in the beautiful landscape. The villages of Lynton and Lynmouth are delightful to wander around and have lots of cafes, pubs and restaurants as well as independent shops and galleries.

This property is accessed via the owner's hotel and up three flights of stairs, but the effort is well worth it. The open-plan lounge/kitchen diner is tastefully decorated with cool contemporary colours creating a restful space to unwind in. From the living area, you will find two king-size bedrooms, both with en-suite, which are once again beautifully decorated in a simple, contemporary style helping to accentuate the gorgeous sea views. From the rear of the property, you will find a path which leads straight into the picturesque Victorian village of Lynton and the water-powered cliff railway only feet from your door will take you down the hill to Lynmouth.

Surrounded by Exmoor National Park, the opportunities for walks across moorland, through woodland and over farmland are endless. You could wander up the valley to the National Trust’s Watersmeet for a cream tea or along the South West Coast Path to Valley of the Rocks to admire the stunning landscape (both 1.5 miles). The National Trust’s Arlington Court (12 miles) offers everything you’d want from a stately home and gardens. Or you could visit the Exmoor Beast and other exotic creatures at Exmoor Zoo (11 miles).

A nicely equipped apartment with wonderful views from both of the bedrooms and bathrooms. There is a nice quiet and level road at the front of the hotel which was good for walking the dogs. Also the back entrance up steps and you are into the town. You do have to be reasonably fit because it is quite a trek from the front of the hotel up 3 flights Read morecarrying your luggage. Hide

The apartment is brilliant. Perfectly located with a private path running to the area at the top of the Cliff Railway and local shops. There are 3 flights of stairs to get up initially from the car park at the front, but once established in the apartment the private path makes entry/exit easy and great for getting out to the town. Top floor apartment, newly furnished and lovely. Be aware it is on the third floor and any luggage has got to get there and back. Lovely position with great views out to sea and towards the Welsh coast. Private steps leading from the apartment take you up to the Cliff Railway and the Town. The footpath down to Lynmouth and also the Valley of the RoRead morecks passes by. All in all a great location. Hide

Lovely and helpful people at the hotel and had a very restful week here: Beds very comfy and view from rooms are stunning. Everything you need for a week away from home. Such a dog friendly place practically could take our pooch anywhere.
