Handsome period cottage situated in the heart of the attractive fishing village of Appledore, located on the estuary of the Rivers Taw and Torridge in North Devon.
Indulge in a romantic seaside break at this quaint little cottage, set in the picturesque fishing village of Appledore. You'll love the huge traditional stone fireplace and wood burner, the perfect place to snuggle up with a hot chocolate after a browse among the arts and crafts stores of the village quay. You're more than welcome to bring your four-legged friend with you; there are plenty of interesting walkies along the South West Coast Path which conveniently runs through Appledore.
On entering the cottage you'll be struck by the welcoming aura and warm tones of the open lounge and dining area. An exposed, stone fireplace acts as an eye-catching centrepiece to the room and comes with its own warming wood burner. Adjoining the lounge is the classic yet contemporary kitchen which has everything you need to cook a romantic meal for two. Up the steep, open-sided stairs you’ll find the soft, pastel double bedroom which also has a beautiful exposed, stone wall feature fireplace.
An 800-metre walk from the front door will bring you to Appledore's idyllic quayside, where you will find a wealth of pubs and restaurants to try. Looking across the estuary of the rivers Taw and Torridge you will spot the neighbouring waterfront village of Instow, just a 5-mile drive or short ferry ride away. If you're looking for some beach time, look no further than the glorious, golden sands of Westward Ho! beach, a 2-mile drive away from the cottage.
