Formerly the old cider press with some original workings still in place and use of the shared heated swimming pool.

Set within 130 acres on a working sheep farm, this sympathetically converted barn allows guests to relax and unwind in the tranquillity of the North Devon countryside. Surrounded by rolling hills and beautiful views, you will feel wonderfully secluded, but the advantage of this property is that you are actually within an easy driving distance of many delights that North Devon has to offer such as its dramatic cliffs, sandy beaches and historic market towns.

Once the old cider press, this tastefully decorated barn conversion is welcoming and cosy. With its low ceilings, exposed beams and wood burner you will find it easy to relax and snuggle up of an evening after a busy day exploring, but the vaulted ceiling and light walls mean it feels light and airy. The open-plan living/kitchen/dining area make the most of the space and provides everything you need to make your stay a comfortable one, including a dishwasher. As you descend the five steps to the double bedroom, you can appreciate its countryside charm. The use of the large shared heated swimming pool is an added bonus with this property!

North Devon’s golden beaches are nearby with Westward Ho! and Instow within 5 miles and surf spots, Saunton, Croyde and Woolacombe within 22 miles. If you’d rather experience the coastline without getting wet, the South West Coast Path can be accessed at Westward Ho! and allows stunning views out to Lundy Island and beyond. Former railway line turned cycle-way, the Tarka Trail, is a flatter way to experience this part of the world and joins market towns Bideford (2 miles) and Barnstaple (10 miles) and beyond.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

the sofa's are pretty small and not the most comfortable, but a very tidy little cottage with clean and pleasant decor, nice big bedroom and enough room for 2 with the kitchen diner and lounge all in one

Very beautiful and convenient location. Fantastic hosts who are always on hand to help but discreet. Stunning, cosy cottage. All in all the perfect cottage for a couples getaway!

The Cider House is cosy, has some interesting history and is a brilliant base for north Devon. We loved being on a working farm, especially our toddler who would go and see the animals on a toy tractor provided and feed Maj the pony a carrot!

Everything you could want in a cottage and more. Owners are very friendly respect your privacy but are there if you need them. Absolutely wonderful. We will be making a third visit next year.
