This romantic retreat for two sits next to another bookable property in a beautiful area just 2 miles from the heart of the town of Brixham. Here, you will find a pretty harbour which is perfect for a mid-morning stroll, looking at the surrounding colourful cottages, before heading off for lunch at one of the many seafood restaurants, cafes and pubs. After eating, why not window shop as you pass the many independent shops? Or perhaps you’d like to take a dip in the open-air seawater lido at Shoalstone, or try out a new water sport. Head out further and explore the rest of the ever-popular English Riviera and picturesque South Hams, which could include a short drive to Noss Marina in Kingswear where you can take the ferry across the water to popular Dartmouth. Other attractions easily accessible from here include Paignton Zoo (5.5 miles), Agatha Christie's Greenway House (3.5 miles), Dartmoor National Park (16 miles) and the stunning cathedral city of Exeter (30 miles).

Step inside this delightful property and you will find that the accommodation immediately opens into a lovely open-plan studio-style apartment with a lounge/kitchen/diner and a sleeping area. The lounge area is a cosy and sociable space with a comfortable sofa in front of a Smart TV and an intimate and relaxed dining area. The contemporary kitchen area is perfectly appointed and offers a great range of appliances including an electric oven and hob, microwave and fridge with ice compartment. The sleeping area has a welcoming double bed. Completing the offering inside the property is a lovely wet-room-style shower room with a walk-in shower and a WC.

Located at the front of the property, there is a seating area to enjoy a coffee in the morning. You’ll also be proximal to public footpaths and communal green spaces. Also parking space for 2 cars

Very clean and compact, quiet accommodation, well equipped. It was located just where we wanted to be to enable us to explore Brixham and surrounding area of Dartmoor and Dartmouth, we did some excellent walks with our dog and found the people we met in Brixham to be very friendly. A bonus to have parking outside.

Great studio apartment in a nice location. A bus stop is available at the end of the road. Having a car helps to get around. Recommended.

We recently stayed at Ramblers Retreat whilst visiting our daughter and family staying at a nearby campsite. The property was perfectly located for both the campsite but also for visiting local towns and areas of interest. First impressions are always the most important, and on entering Ramblers Retreat, my first impression was that it was spotlessly clean. This cottage is ideal for 2 people and a dog. Very well equipped with everything you need, on arrival - tea, coffee, sugar, milk, household items and a dog box with useful items all on arrival. Compact and clean accomodation with everything needed for a comfortable stay. We appreciated the wine and milk and our dog was very happy with his doggy treats. Location was quiet and felt very safe in a residential area. Good off road parking. A car is essential for this accomodation as it is two miles into Brixham and there are no local shops/pubRead mores nearby. There is a bus service into Brixham and Kingswear. We spent 2 weeks at Rambler's Retreat. The accommodation was fabulous. Spotlessly clean, well equipped and very quiet. Surroundings were lovely. Outside area was a little suntrap. Just a short drive from Brixham. Shops and supermarkets within a short radius and within easy driving distance of Torquay, Paignton, Totnes and Newton Abbott. Absolutely lovely, very well equipped, exceptionally clean, the little extras were very much appreciated,( milk, wine, treats for our dog. We forgot a few personal items which were posted out to us free of charge.
