One of two coastal property which has been wonderfully restored combining a contemporary style with period features, creating an idyllic retreat for all the family as well as couples all year round.
This grand Victorian property is situated in the charming seaside resort of Ilfracombe, on the rugged North Devon coast. You'll be perfectly placed to potter around the quaint shops and dine in some of the fantastic independent restaurants dotted along the picturesque harbour. Venture slightly further along the coast and you'll find long sandy beaches and breathtaking clifftop walks, as well as some great all-weather family attractions.
The first-floor apartment, with high ceilings and large bay windows, offers plenty of space for everyone to spread out and enjoy the holiday. The property has been carefully restored to showcase some of the original features, whilst maintaining a contemporary style. Grey tones create a calm atmosphere throughout the spacious lounge/diner, offset with vibrant splashes of colour to give a modern twist. Plush furniture and furnishings, in keeping with the period, add a touch of elegance. Outside, there's a delightful shared garden, where you can unwind after a long day.
During your stay, you will no doubt wander along the beautiful harbour (less than 1 mile from the property) to view the iconic ‘Verity' statue by Damien Hirst – a fabulous photo opportunity, particularly at sunset. Tunnels Beaches is 0.5 miles away and is also well worth a visit. Steeped in history, the rugged scenery and tidal pools are magical, especially for children. Just be sure to check the opening and tide tides beforehand (also be aware that dogs aren't allowed). Keen walkers will love the section of the South West Coast Path that passes through Ilfracombe. The terrain is tough, but if you fancy a challenge you will be treated to some truly spectacular scenery along the routes towards Combe Martin or Woolacombe.
Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.
