Nestling at the end of a narrow lane just 200 yards from the beach sits this beautifully restored pair of fisherman’s cottages nestling alongside a shallow stream makes it makes an peaceful holiday location.
Once two fisherman’s cottages, this delightful three-storey property has been restyled to create one spacious and light-filled holiday home offering a stylish retreat for up to eight guests in the pretty seaside village of Combe Martin. Spend lazy days by the beach just 200 metres from the property’s front door, before heading back to the house for an al fresco feast followed by a dip in the hot tub under the stars.
At the heart of the property, the spacious lounge/diner has been created from the original lounges of two neighbouring cottages, where cosy evenings can be spent in front of the warming wood burner and leisurely meals can be whipped up in the well-equipped kitchen with its original quarry-tiled floor. Two beautifully-styled king-size bedrooms can be found on the first floor, alongside two sanctuary-like bathrooms: one with a sumptuous roll top bath and separate shower, and the other with a relaxing spa bath. The remaining bedrooms, meanwhile, can be found upstairs on the first floor. The outside space too has been just as thoughtfully finished, with a large dining table providing space for summer garden parties, whilst the bubbling hot tub is a near-perfect way to end the day.
Start the day early and gather together your towel, nets, and buckets to enjoy a long leisurely day on the beach situated just 200 metres from the property’s front door. At lunchtime pop into one of the cafes or the 17th century pub in the village centre before returning to the beach or perhaps heading 5 miles around the coast to enjoy an afternoon in the handsome harbour town of Ilfracombe 5 miles away.
Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.
