Situated in a coastal preservation area famous for its outstanding natural beauty with breathtaking views over the Atlantic Ocean. It is in a quiet position with views over open countryside. National Trust land and coastal paths less than 10 minutes walk away where there is an abundance of wildlife. The property is approached by a private drive with 2 unfenced ponds. Locally there are many places to visit including The Tarka Trail, Clovelly, a unique cliffside fishing village and the nearby small town of Hartland, together with lots of good pubs and eating places within easy reach. There are interests for every age and taste.

A spacious fully self-contained annexe of the farmhouse, imaginatively decorated and well-equipped, the cottage offers one double bedroom with four-poster bed and en suite shower room with WC. The Lounge/Dining room with comfy leather sofa, TV/DVD/video and Freeview leads through into the well equipped Kitchen with electric cooker, fridge/freezer and microwave.

Heading outside you will be surrounded by countryside, ideal for long romantic strolls. There is also a large shared lawn area, perfect for a picnic with views to Hartland lighthouse across the Atlantic ocean.
Also, a bistro set can be found directly outside the cottage, perfect for a morning coffee. The games room is shared with Shebberton Winter Folly, with a pool table, football game and table tennis, dolls house, toys, games and a selection of DVDs and videos. There is also a handy shared utility room: with washing machine and tumble dryer (tumble dryer by meter).

Shebberton Summer Folly is a perfect little cottage. A wonderful place to escape for a few days. It has everything you need. Mrs Winter is super helpful and is around should there be any problems. 10/10 for comfort of the bed, we slept so well. Had a lovely week here. It was equipped with everything we needed. The views are breathtaking and the peace and quiet priceless which is exactly why I booked and not disappointed. The owner Mary was lovely, on hand and helpful if you needed anything.

Very nice long weekend. Greeted by Mrs Winter who showed us round the cottage it was just what we needed water pressure for the shower not great as mentioned by others. But really didnt bother us. 45 minute walk in westward ho! Along the coastal path which has been improved by the national trust since we last visited the area. This cottage suites our needs for a short break. Our host Mrs Winter couldnt have been more helpful. She met us on arrival and showed us around the cottage and pointed us in the right direction for all our needs. Highly recommend the Thatched Inn which is just a mile away for food, suggest you book a table as it is very popular. The cottage was spaRead morecious and set in a courtyard overlooking fields. We had a lovely week here. The host was friendly and approachable. The accommodation was comfortable and in a great location. The cottage was comfortable, well equiped and situated in a lovely rural setting with easy access to beautiful coastal walks to nearby Westward Ho. The host was extremely friendly and heloful. I would highly recommend this cottage to anyone looking for a relaxing break with access to this part of the Devon coastline.

We had 7 nights staying in summer folly, it had all we needed for a self catering break. The cottage is not modern but had everything we needed.
