If you're interested in history, you really should pay a visit to Chambercombe Manor (2 miles away). The 11th-century property is steeped in legend and is even mentioned in the Domesday Book. They offer guided tours as well as ghost-hunting events throughout the year. For something slightly more light-hearted, both Watermouth Castle (3 miles away) and Combe Martin Wildlife and Dinosaur Park (10 miles away) make great family days out.
