Nestled on a 1500-acre working farm, this beautiful detached barn conversion is conveniently located for sandy beaches and the walking and cycling trails of the Exmoor National Park.

Situated in the heart of the Exmoor National Park and surrounded by acres of awe-inspiring countryside, this property is also a short walk from the small village of Challacombe with the exceptional and unusually named local inn - The Black Venus. With plenty of recommendations - the food is fabulous, but please book to avoid disappointment due to the size and popularity with locals and visitors. Regularly voted best pub in North Devon. (Please remember to take the torch for the walk back!). Head to the coast to discover the string of sandy beaches on Devon’s north coast, including Woolacombe, Saunton and Croyde, together with hidden coves, including those at Lee Bay and Woody Bay. There is much more to see in the local area, including Exmoor Zoo, Combe Martin Wildlife and Dinosaur Park, and Watermouth Castle with its family-friendly attractions. Or visit the pretty sister towns of Lynton and Lynmouth which are often referred to as Little Switzerland with their famous cliff railway.

Tucked away up a newly tarmacked, private lane lies this lovely, detached stone barn converted into a generously sized two bedroom holiday home on the family owned 1500 acre beef and sheep farm within Exmoor National park. Entering this delightful property, you are immediately greeted by the stunning living/dining area with full height ceiling and exposed timber beams and large wood burning stove. Adjoining the kitchen is a utility room with washing machine, tumble dryer and separate WC. For those cooler evenings, light the wood burner and settle in for a snug evening. From the lounge, head down two steps to the bedrooms. Bedroom 2 benefits from a lovely Juliette balcony has a super king zip and link, which can be configured as either super king or twin. (Please advise when booking) and bedroom 1 has a super king. Completing the accommodation is a large, family bathroom with an extra wide walk in power shower, separate bath, sink and WC. The cottage has oil fired central heating throughout.

Venturing outside from the lounge/diner is a large decking area with outside seating for everyone, where you can sit and enjoy the views, or de-stress in the wood fired hot tub. There is also an outside wood burner with cooking facilities for dining al fresco. The enclosed lawned garden is great for children and your dogs to play in. I've been coming to Swincombe Mill for years and I love it. So comfortable, it has everything you could need and the new features coming soon will make it even better. It's perfectly situated for getting around Exmoor and just as nice for hunkering down with a glass of wine and a good book.
