A beautiful, detached, stone-built converted barn, Tennacott Lodge enjoys stunning, far-reaching views over the River Torridge and the Iron Bridge. Set on a working dairy farm, the cottage is an idyllic rural retreat for a group holiday. Larger groups can also book Tennacott April Cottage which sleeps six in the same location. With underfloor heating throughout the downstairs, Tennacott Lodge offers a warm welcome from the outset. A homely atmosphere is felt in each room, from the large, open-plan kitchen/dining area with its range cooker for hearty meals and heavy wooden table for dining together, to the cosy lounge with sofas to sink into and a roaring wood burner. The spectacular views can be enjoyed from the kitchen and lounge, both of which have doors onto the patio which is a scenic spot for a BBQ. The five bedrooms offer a selection of king-size doubles and twins, ideal for families or friends. The three double rooms are en-suite, one of which boasts a luxurious whirlpool bath.
Guests are welcome to walk across the fields and can join the Tarka Trail within a mile. Bideford with its shops and independent eateries is just 2.5 miles away, while the sandy beaches of Westward Ho! and Instow are within 5 miles. Families will be spoilt for choice with fantastic attractions, including The BIG Sheep (4 miles) and The Milky Way Adventure Park (11.5 miles). High street shops, boutique stores, restaurants and night spots line the streets of Barnstaple (11 miles) and rural North Devon boasts many gems.
