Very well equipped , clean and comfortable and well thought out layout considering this cottage is a converted double garage. Not easy to find though as we found the directions a little confusing, compounded by the fact that there was a parked car obscuring the "Wellclose Road" sign. "Road" is actually a very narrow lane! Parking is a bit tight tooRead more, and we have quite a small car. It would be a bit of a nightmare for someone with an estate or an SUV. Hide

This is in a great location, with a walk into town with some good bars and restaurants. And a short drive to some stunning beaches, and great walks by the coast. There is everything you need and the sofas and bed were really comfortable. The kitchen was well equipped. We took our two dogs, but I wouldn't recommend it for pooches. We stayed with our whippet dog for a week in November and needed to ask the owner for additional heating as the upstairs did not have any and it was chilly. Not a dog friendly place to stay. The description states patio/garden area There is no garden other than some decking. If your dog needs to toilet you have to cross a busy main road and walk to the park. Parking is very poor and awkward to get any reasonable sized car in or out. The smoke alarm was faulty and kept us awake half the night. In the enRead mored we had to disconnect it. Messaged the caretaker/owner and never got a response? Better value for money elsewhere would not recommend this property Hide

The cottage was fine and in a great location plenty of things to see and do. What spoilt it was the information about where to your rubbish which was in the blue bin at Well-house which was full when got there and only emptied 2 weeks later so we had to recycle ours at Tesco's and other places when we went out.

Lovely week spent at The Hideout. Welcome pack was really useful and the accommodation was well-equipped with everything we needed. Excellent location for getting all around North Devon in a week. Scones, cream, jam and hot drinks things were lovely to arrive to. Be aware that the vehicle entrance is incredibly tight!
