Secluded retreat, within walking distance of a pub and has its own private hot tub. Set in a picturesque hillside location with beaches to the north and west, and Exmoor to the east.
Nestled in a quiet village just 5.5 miles outside of Combe Martin, this charming property promises a truly relaxing escape to guests. Sleeping three over two cosy bedrooms, this cottage is perfect for a romantic getaway or for a little family holiday. Wake up and look out of the window towards the lush hills and trees, head to the garden with your morning coffee and soak up the morning sun among beautiful countryside views.
Whether you’re bubbling away in the private hot tub or you’re cooking up a storm in the huge kitchen, there’s something for everyone here. Calming, neutral interiors highlight the stunning vaulted ceiling and exposed beams in the open-plan living area and there are lots of little cottage-style touches dotted throughout. The open-plan living area is bright and airy during the day thanks to the huge bay window where you can sit with a book but light the wood burner in the evening and it becomes a peaceful haven. Soft lighting in the bedrooms make them tranquil places to slumber, but don’t go to bed too early – enjoy long nights in the garden around the firepit after sizzling up a BBQ.
Head 9 miles to traditional Victorian seaside town Ilfracombe where plenty of pubs, shops and restaurants will keep you busy as well as the Landmark Theatre and Damien Hirst’s famous sculpture ‘Verity.’ Catch a boat from the harbour to wildlife-rich Lundy Island where you’re bound to see puffins, seals and maybe even dolphins. The beautiful beaches at Woolacombe (12 miles) and Saunton (14 miles) are popular with surfers, but if you prefer to stay on land, visit the pretty gardens of Arlington Court (1.5 miles).
Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.
