A beautiful and bijou cottage in a peaceful rural setting. We enjoyed our week in this cottage although we did not do any self catering beyond breakfast so I cannot comment on the kitchen as I didn't use it! The only minor caveat is the king size bed is actually a 5ft queen size. The grounds that the cottage stand in are beautiful and there is a maRead morep of local walks - we only made it as far as the pond but did manage to see the Exmoor ponies and red deer. Hide

This is a wonderful gem. We enjoy quality, and this tasteful, clever and arty conversion had it in spades. Everything had been thought through. Being able to stroll in the extensive gardens and 800-acre estate was a real bonus. So pleased we went for two weeks. Great central, Devon location enabling visits to a wide-range of places. Great pubs (espRead moreecially the Duke of York which we visited three times!). Heartily recommend for the discerning couple looking for a quiet, especially romantic, break. Hide
