This remarkable property, which is situated close to Brixham’s town centre, has been fitted and furnished to a delightful standard throughout, offering the perfect bolthole for a family retreat.

Set on a quiet residential road, this charming holiday property enjoys an enviable location near shops, pubs, and the fishing harbour of Brixham in South Devon on the English Riviera. With Saxon roots, a fascinating history of pirates, smugglers and wreckers, and a Dutch influence, there's much to explore along the shores of this charming port town, and festivals to enjoy, including the annual pirate festival in May.

Take steps up to the entrance of this property, into the bright open-plan living, kitchen and dining space. Unwind on the cosy seating by the SmartTV, have fun in the fantastic games room, or gather in the dining area and enjoy the warming wood burner as you tuck into a family feast prepared in the well-equipped kitchen (note steps between the kitchen and dining area). Step out from the kitchen to enjoy the enclosed outside patio - with steps up to a lofty terraced area and a seasonal BBQ. As night falls, you'll find three cosy bedrooms and a family bathroom with a free-standing roll-top bath, separate shower, and WC on the first floor, and a triple bedroom (accessed by cottage-style stairs) on the second floor, where there are some sloped ceilings.

Admire the fishing cottages in Brixham Harbour, finding delicious cafe treats, and source freshly-caught fish at Brixham Fish Market. Discover artefacts and family fun at Brixham Heritage Centre and see The Golden Hind, a replica of Frances Drake's ship in the harbour. Amble along Berry Head (1.5 miles) for cliff-top walks, a charming lighthouse, and abundant wildlife. Take a 30-minute ferry from Brixham to explore the charms of Torquay, or visit Paignton (5.5 miles) and board the Dartmouth Steam Railway which chugs along the coast and the charming River Dart.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

Lovely property in a lovely location, close enough to walk to and from town, albeit some steep steps or incline needed, but no noise at nighttime other than the gulls! Has one large full bathroom which could be tricky with larger groups but there is a separate toilet, we made it work with seven of us as three were older teenagers who sleep till lunRead morechtime. Has a garage for parking, very useful, plus position of house means there is street parking very nearby for another car. A lovely week away. Hide

What an absolutely stunning and cosy house. Completely home from home. All facilities you could think of. Close to local amenities. Garage is an absolute bonus as parking is restricted close by but ample of parking in the town centre payable car parks. Bigger than you think. Truly fabulous for a large family holiday. Faultless. Excellent position but beware the steep steps and paths down to town. Due to covid we did plenty of walking, again great base for this. Slightly dark downstairs but light and airy upstairs.

Lovely, spacious cottage in Central Brixham. Vehicle access is via a steep road so be prepared to give way on some very narrow streets. The garage is priceless as street parking is very tight and not abundant. The cottage is a five minute walk to the harbour - the location is perfect. However, you will need to traverse steep steps so be prepared anRead mored maybe not perfect for those who are less mobile. Cottage is very large - bedrooms are all a good size.
