Set on quiet country lane, with a handful of other properties, overlooking a picturesque wooded valley with scenic Devonian countryside and walks a plenty. Unwind and relax for a perfect getaway

Approaching this cottage via a quiet country lane it is hard to believe that you are only 6 miles from Plymouth city centre. Guests staying here really can experience all that this part of South Devon has to offer, from the scenic countryside to beautiful beaches and elegant stately homes. The property itself offers plenty of space for two people with a stylish lounge, generously-sized bedroom, and terraced garden.

28 stone steps lead down to the front door of this property, upon entering which guests pass through the utility room before finding themselves in the relaxing lounge with its well-chosen furnishings, Sky TV, and cosy wood burner in the contemporary fireplace. Open-tread stairs lead from the lounge up to the sanctuary-like bedroom where a four-poster bed and a chaise-longue add a touch of glamour. The bathroom has clearly been designed with a home pamper session in mind, as there is not only an elegant double-ended bath but also a separate shower, so remember to bring your best bubbles with you. Outside, the terraced garden is laid out over several levels, offering a choice of al fresco seating areas, whilst there is also a conservatory for cooler days.

How fantastic to have all of the sights of Plymouth just six miles away, whilst also being able to escape the city’s hustle and bustle and retreat to your country hideaway. There is plenty to see and do in the city with its historic sea-front Hoe, beautifully restored Art Deco lido, and eclectic independent shopping area - The Barbican.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

Very nice cottage. Be aware its situated down a narrow dark country lane and if you have mobility issues its 28 steps down to the cottage. Check with owner she has installed wifi as it wasn't installed when we stayed. Owner had left tea coffee milk and sugar which was appreciated
