This homely cottage is an ideal couple’s retreat situated in Devon’s rural countryside, just a few miles from the coast, with lots of clifftop walks, sandy beaches, and pretty fishing villages nearby

This gorgeous barn conversion nestled into the North Devon countryside offers the ideal place for a romantic retreat. Set in the grounds of the owner’s house and surrounded by luscious green fields, you won’t find it hard to relax and unwind in this tranquil setting. Located in the charming village of Littleham, there is a pub offering home-cooked food only a few hundred metres from your door. This property also offers a fantastic base from which to explore the many delights of North Devon.

From the outside, this property has instant appeal with its stone walls, slate roof and hanging baskets; its charm continues inside. Stepping into the open-plan lounge/dining area, the white walls and vaulted ceiling convey light, space and cleanliness, whilst the simple, tasteful and traditional decoration makes it seem homely and comfortable. The modest kitchen is well-equipped and includes a utility area. From the lounge, one step leads to the comfortable king-size bedroom. Outside, there is one acre of grounds which is shared with another property and includes a BBQ and seating area, so sit back with a glass of wine and immerse yourself in the peace and quiet.

The rugged North Devon coastline is definitely one of the highlights near here. Westward Ho! with its miles of sandy beach is only 4.5 miles away and is the ideal place to sunbathe, ramble around the rockpools or take to the waves. You can also join the South West Coast Path from here and head south to explore more of the coastline. The historic, market town of Bideford with an array of shops and eateries is only 4 miles away with Barnstaple 13.5 miles away.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

A beautiful, well equipped cottage in a lovely part of North Devon. Very close to the Tarka cycling trail and close to many beautiful places to visit including Lydford Gorge and Clovelly.

Very well equipped and spacious for two people. Just mind your knees on the end of the bed when getting in or out! Dog enjoyed the local walks and nearby beaches. Lovely local pub, friendly with good food.

Very cosy accommodation with everything you want to have an enjoyable holiday. Peter and Vicky had thought of everything and were very helpful, including finding us room for our pushbikes, so we could ride the Tarka Trail. The local pub was within easy walking distance, we were met with a very warm welcome and wonderful food. The Shippen was well sRead moreituated with all the attractions of Devon within easy reach.
