Whether you’re enjoying a late morning in the spacious bedroom or heading off to Muddiford Wood (1 mile), you’ll find your own way to relax here. The double aspect windows in the open-plan living area flood the room with light, while the kitchen area has everything you need to cook up a storm and have a romantic meal at the dining table. Enjoy your evening tipple alfresco, heading up the steps to the lawn to take in the views, or snuggle up together in front of the Smart TV and wood burner for a cosy night in.

Stroll around the pretty gardens at Arlington Court (7 miles) where the formal Victorian Gardens are a sight to behold. If you’re feeling more active, head to Barnstaple (15 miles) to join the 108-mile Tarka Trail and hire bikes or set off on foot. Saunton Sands (9 miles) is a stunning beach to spend the day at and is backed by the fascinating Braunton Burrows, the UK’s largest dune system.

Beautiful modern but cosy one bedroom cottage. Benefits from being in a quiet rural area yet close to Barnstaple and to the coast for days out. Owners are very helpful and quick to reply to any queries. We wished we could have stayed longer and we plan to return in future

The cottage is a perfect hideaway for a couple. The bed is amazing and the bathroom is brilliant. Everything was spotless and would we would definitely stop again.

The Wood Stack was a brilliant property, everything that you needed was available to make sure that your stay was as comfortable and relaxing as possible. The property was very well equipped and extremely clean. The log burner was lovely to have and made the evenings very cosy. Fantastic location, not far from Saunton Sands, Woolacombe and Croyde bRead moreeaches. Local pub was only a 10 minute walk away across the fields. Nice gesture to have cream tea on arrival. The property way exceeded our expectations... it was absolutely perfect in every way. So peaceful away from the hustle and bustle of every day life. Absolutely wonderful.

It was a beautiful cottage with everything one could want for a relaxing stay in a lovely location. The owners were very friendly and helpful who made us feel very welcome making sure we had everything we needed.

the wood stack is a lovely cottage, with everything you need for a relaxing break, the host who live on site are lovely friendly people, who are available for help and advice about the local area. covid restrictions meant they couldn't supply maps or leaflets but were happy to inform us. there is a pub within walking distance across the fields . weRead more had a steak and wine vey good. only a short drive to Saunton great for dogs and delicious ice cream plenty to do in surrounding area. The Woodstack is a perfect base to explore N Devon. It feels spacious, light and airy. It is very tastefully decorated and furnished and well equipped with a lovely totally enclosed private garden.
