A delightful reverse level cottage which has been cleverly renovated from the original old watermill building, with lovely countryside views and own private enclosed patio and garden.
Lying within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, this cottage is perfect for nature-lovers and those wishing to escape the bustle of daily life. It’s located just outside the pretty seaside town of Combe Martin, where you’ll find independent shops, pubs and restaurants. With so much to do on-site you won’t want to leave. Facilities include a shared swimming pool, sauna, woodlands and ponds.
You’ll find the living areas on the first floor, where many original features remain or have been restored. Relax in the lounge area under the high vaulted ceiling, and curl up beside the warming wood burner set in the centre of the room. From here, you can admire the views over the garden, through the double doors which lead out to the patio and lawn area. On the ground floor you will find three cosy bedrooms to relax in. The on-site facilities are shared with neighbouring holiday lets and include an outdoor tennis court and children’s play area, so there’s something to keep the whole family entertained during your stay.
You’ll find the coastal town of Ilfracombe nearby (6.5 miles), famed for being the home of artist Damien Hirst’s Verity statue, and from here you can take a boat trip out to Lundy Island. Beach lovers will be spoilt for choice with the sands of Croyde (11.5 miles), Woolacombe (8.5 miles) and Saunton (12.5 miles) all within easy reach, while country walks can be enjoyed from the doorstep. A short drive will take you to the outstanding Exmoor National Park (5.5 miles), or the South West Coast Path which runs through the town.
