The perfect family home for a holiday in Torquay, situated in a brilliant spot to explore South Devon’s superb walks and Torbay's wonderful beaches.

This fantastic house is the perfect family base for exploring Torbay on foot, with the South West Coast Path on your doorstep and some stunning beaches to venture to. Oddicombe Beach is a must-visit with its delightful shingle beach, unspoilt coastline and boasting some truly gorgeous views. The picturesque Torquay Harbour is also located nearby with an array of shops, cafes restaurants and bars. Many other opportunities for family fun days out are Babbacombe Model Village, Dartmouth Railway, Paignton Pier, Quay West and Paignton Zoo.

Step inside this wonderful property to find yourself in the light and airy hallway which leads to the open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner This spacious room has seating for all guests and benefits from the dual aspect windows, making it a great spot to socialise with the family, especially after a long day of exploring South Devon. Relaxing in front of the TV/DVD or let the kids play on the Nintendo Wii. Moving towards the back of the property brings you to the well-equipped kitchen which comprises an electric oven and hob, fridge, dishwasher and microwave. There is also a handy utility room located next door which features a washing machine, tumble dryer and separate sink. The garage is also accessed from this area which can be used to store your beach gear and also houses a freezer. Also on the ground floor and reached by the entrance hallway is a bathroom featuring a shower over the bath and WC. Moving upstairs brings you to the bedrooms, the first being the master double bedroom which has a TV and a lovely terrace area, perfect for sitting outside with a morning coffee. There is also a twin bedroom with a TV and a bedroom featuring two bunk beds to sleep four children. The first floor has a large bathroom which comprises a bath, separate shower and WC.

Stepping outside from the kitchen brings you to the wrap-around decked terrace garden, a brilliant space to sit in the sun with plenty of seating for all guests. It's also a great spot for your four-legged friends to stretch their legs. A gate from the garden leads to you the vast open space of Walls Hill and the coastal path and beaches. At the front of the property is parking for two cars.

Cottage is in a perfect location for accessing Torbay, lovely and quiet as well, we have been using this cottage for at least 10 years now

A very nice, well equipped house in a good location. Near Babbacombe and Oddicombe beaches. Handy for bus stops too, if you want to go further afield.

Lovely property, felt homely and comfortable. Was very clean. Kitchen well equipped. Large enough so that we weren't on top of each other. Great situation - backs onto a field leading to a coastal path. Bus stop just around the corner. Had everything you might need for a great holiday. Books available to read, dvd player and dvds, WII game station Read moreand games. This property is the best we've ever stayed in. All 6 of us (3 generations) would highly recommend. Hide

Anyone wanting to stay at Waves End as a family this is a great property to be at. Wonderful location and well equipped house which makes you feel at home.

Lovely location but property really needs bringing up to date. Upstairs is beautiful, nice views and airy bedrooms. Downstairs was rather dirty which unfortunately lets the property down. Lights not working, cupboards left with out of date food and utensils poor standard for cooking. It needs a deep clean. Didn't want to use the decking in the gardRead moreen as rotten through in many places and looks tired. 100% not room for 2 cars on the drive either. Great location. We travelled with a dog and the property was very secure. There is a large green space out of the property and is perfect for dog walks. There is even a gate at the rear of the property giving direct access! However, currently overgrown with nettles so cannot access. Stayed in Waves End Feb half term 2023. Location was great, house was a bit dated and could do with some decoration but comfortable. However we had hot water issues when we tried to shower, water going from boiling hot to freezing cold. A huge burn risk for small kids like ours. Called the caretaker in the morning, but no one attended till 6.30pm bRead morey which time no plumber could be found. The caretaker then ignored our calls and was generally very unhelpful. Lovely area and the house was in right location for us, pity about the cleanliness as mentioned above we have already booked for September but forewarned is forearmed, eat out and know what your going to walk into, the neighbours are lovely.
