Set within Dartmoor National Park in a beautiful hidden valley, this charming cottage provides an unforgettable escape to guests. Quaint and cosy, the single-level lodge is an opportunity to embrace the slower pace of life that comes with being surrounded by beautiful Devon landscape. Just 4 miles from a visitor centre, a walk around the rugged landscape of Dartmoor is a great way to start the day. Snuggle into the sofas in front of the fire after an afternoon of exploring, ready to plan the next adventure.

Whether you’re cooking up a storm in the built-in BBQ in the shared garden or having a quiet spot of lunch in the open-plan living area, you’ll feel at the heart of the countryside here. The living area maximises the small but comfortable space, with a fold-down table that easily seats three. Head over to the games barn for a spot of table tennis or darts where you may meet guests from the other two properties that share the facilities. If your dogs are coming with you, they’ll revel in the dedicated paddock where they can safely play off the lead.

Surrounded by a forest, the cottage is ideal if you enjoy walking through havens of wildlife. There’s no need to go far for dinner since there is a pub just 75 metres down the road, and the delightful seaside towns of Torbay (17 miles), Dawlish (17 miles) and Torquay (16 miles) boast plenty of restaurants and cafes to take your fancy.

Very comfortable and refurbished to a very high standard. Ken and Sarah very friendly and welcoming. The games room is amazing and was well used by us having a 15 year old boy with us! The only downside are the narrow roads and hilly position so walking for us was difficult. Would we return? Yes!
