Venture into the town and you will find two miles of beautiful golden sandy beach, perfect for those who enjoy the sun and surf, and from here you can also enjoy some spectacular cliff-top walks on the South West Coast Path. Other local amenities include a golf course and tennis courts, alongside a great selection of independent shops, pubs and restaurants. Also nearby, the pretty town of Bideford boasts an array of independent shops and from here you can enjoy a trip to Lundy Island on the famous Oldenburg. Other attractions and places of interest accessible from here include Appledore and Clovelly, Instow, Hartland Abbey and Quay, Tapeley Park, The Big Sheep, The Milky Way, RHS Rosemoor and Dartington Crystal.

Stepping inside this stunning property, and due to the lovely upside-down layout, you will firstly discover three of the beautiful bedrooms. These comprise of a roomy king-size, a pretty twin zip-and-link (which can be made up as a super-king-size on request) and then a cosy single bedroom with an additional pull-out single bed, and located next to these rooms is a fabulous contemporary bathroom with shower over bath and WC. Also on the same floor, and providing entertainment for all ages and fun whatever the weather, is the great facility of an indoor games room, this boasts a Smart TV, PS3 games console and table football, there is also a utility area in this room with washing machine and tumble dryer. Heading up the stairs and onto the first floor you will immediately be met by a set of French doors which lead out onto a delightful little glass fronted balcony with seating and a sea view. Venturing back inside, the final bedroom is located next to this and consists of a spacious super-king-size bed, sea views and an en-suite shower room and WC. The rest of the accommodation comprises the fabulous kitchen/diner and lounge, the first of which is the impressive kitchen/diner with feature vaulted ceiling and French doors to outside, meaning that in warm weather you can dine alfresco with ease. The kitchen area itself is also brilliantly appointed and equipped and offers a gas oven and hob, microwave, fridge with ice compartment and dishwasher. Completing the offering inside and approached by two steps down from the kitchen/diner is a lovely sociable lounge with Smart TV, vaulted ceiling and large feature bay window with sea views, providing a perfect place to curl up and watch your favourite film after a day exploring.

Heading outside via the French doors from the kitchen, you will discover a lovely large enclosed garden with lawn, patio area, garden furniture and a charcoal BBQ. A private hot tub offering sea glimpses provides further relaxation and a great place to enjoy a glass of wine whilst watching the sun set. We were a party of 5 adults and 2 dogs. The house was nicely presented and well equipped. The complementary arrival items were much appreciated and a nice touch. The small garden was private and the hot tub was a pleasure to relax in. It was handy having the side gate we could use with the dogs instead of having to take them through the house. A 10Read more min walk to Westward Ho, 30 min walk to the dog beach. Reccomend the Atlantic fish bar but be prepared for a long wait as very popular. Hide

Generally the property had been well presented though we were all disappointed that the patio was dirty and covered in weeds and the BBq was rusty and tatty and therefore not used. Only other issue was that the ensuite shower needed a thorough scrub and the mould removed from the grout between the tiles which I did myself. Lovely large family house in a fantastic quiet location. Suited our needs perfectly, we loved being able to bring our dogs with us and were happy that they were safe and secure in the enclosed garden. Wide choice of takeaways and restaurants locally. Lots of places to visit nearby.

Woodside is a wonderful house with a beautiful view of the sea. The large window upstairs is superb for sunsets and watching the sea. A great location for a short walk to Westward Ho beach. Lovely stay at Woodside 5 adults 2 children and 2 dogs. Very spacious and comfortable home with beach only 15 minute walk away. Excellent communication with owner. We all loved the jacuzzi and made good use of this. Stunning views of the sea from the enormous window in sitting room

Amazing location with spectacular views. Worked well with elderly mother with mobility issues as she had the room located on the same level as the kitchen/living and garden area. Hot tub was nice and the welcome pack was very thoughtful and used! Only downside we experienced was cleanliness of the property.

Great base for looking around the area and can easily park 4 cars. Note, not suitable for anyone with mobility issues due to the layout of the property. The view from the sitting room and upstairs balcony was great for watching the sun set and seeing the tides change. So much to do in the area, a week hardly scratched the surface. The property is realy well laid out we had a lovely welcome pack and comfy beds . Downstairs shower hot/cold difficult to set not good for child . Hot tub was brilliant .few cobwebs but otherwise clean

Beautifully appointed property with stunning seaviews from most rooms. The hot tub was well used and is situated in an interesting and mature garden. Mark was quick to correct 2 small issues. We were a mixed family group of 3 generations the biggest challenge of the property was the noise transfer from upstairs living to the bedrooms below, trying Read moreto get toddlers to sleep was a real issue as was anyone wanting to sleep beyond the little ones getting up in the morning.
