Wembury has lots of places to stay because there is so much to discover nearby. As well as the village, Wembury also gives its name to a beautiful expanse of coastline owned by the National Trust. It’s a fantastic spot for rock-pooling with views across the sea to the Great Mewstone, which is now a wild nature reserve with an interesting history. The city of Plymouth, the largest in Devon, is only 10 miles away. It boasts a fascinating maritime and wartime history, but it also has a wealth of modern amenities. Venturing further afield, you could head to Dartmoor for the day and enjoy an adventure amongst its rocky landscape.
