A traditional resort

Teignmouth boasts miles of sandy beaches, as well as being just 10 miles from the popular resort of Torquay and close by to the seaside town of Dawlish. Lovers of water sports can try their hand at kayaking and paddleboarding, and sunbathers can just kick back on the sands and relax.

Children will be enchanted by the Victorian Pier, lido and various play parks and adults should head to the high street with its great selection of shops and cafes. As well as the annual Folk Festival in June, the town is also home to a Jazz Festival and Taste of The Teign Food Festival.

Teignmouth is situated on the South West Coast Path and provides ample opportunity for coastal strolls with breathtaking sea views. Serious walkers can experience the 18-mile Templer Way which traces the historic route of granite exportation from Dartmoor to the docks at Teignmouth.
